He will cave in to ASLEF , NHS restruction.......in fact he'll cave in with any dispute with his paymasters.

Mate, I've stayed out of the political debate because if you've got nothing to offer you keep your mouth shut, Sunak or Starmer are like taking two dogs for a walk and you only have one doggy bag, who's load do you take home with you? we all have a huge problem and I have voted all of my life but I'm, like many am in a quandary.

And I think that’s the dilemma with Starmer
The general public simply don’t know what he stands for or whether to vote for him
He’s not called flip flop for nothing
 
The question was more, why didn’t he do it earlier, he wants labour to win so much he’s freighted of making a mistake. If he gets In he’ll be fine. I don’t agree with Diane Abbots politics, but on what grounds was she being stopped from standing. She was acquitted and has done a course, as she was told to do. Her constituency want her to stand. I know people who live in her constituency and they say she’s a good constituency MP. Both main parties are a broad church, with different wings, it keeps them on their toes.

All opposition leaders are the same, it’s a tough job. You call him flip flop, it’s a convenient way to criticise. There’s a fine balance between being pragmatic and changing your approach according to circumstances, and being stubborn and sticking to views that are no longer relevant. Add to that he’s had to pick the Labour Party up by its boot straps. Someone will have to do something similar to the Tory party if the predicted rout happens to them.

Labour have it won. Mr Starmer has had to do little because of the absurd **** show of a Government and can continue to bore his way to a majority, but afford a little drama with a purge. Removing left wing critics now removes left wing criticism of right wing economic policy and Sir Kid Starver later, Labour economically will be little different to the Tories.

Conservative borrowing is at record levels for the UK. The pandemic put borrowing above 10% v GDP and its stayed there. Labour will do similar.

there is a non party reason for the borrowing regarding the pandemic ... who ever was .gov would have done the same .. the truth is .. the fact actually ... without the austerity that was needed to clear the Labour black hole of £trn's by the conservatives the UK would be in massive mess now.... even deeper in the mire than pre 1990.

by similar do mean as they always have spent the profits they inherit then borrow like frenzy to fill the holes in their mis appropriated spending by massive borrowing? the circle that involves the circles ...................

I don’t know the Labour Party rules off by heart but I don’t think they allow for the leader to ban individuals from standing for the party.
I think there’s a select committee which does that.
Starmer can’t personally ban people - but he CAN keep them out of the cabinet - which he will do.

REALLY STRANGE WORLD is it not!!.............. Scenario ... GE a new .GOV takes over from the outgoing one which has just left a massive debt £trn's .. to pay it back they pop down to the local money tree and pick a sackful of £1m notes! umm no such thing, where does a .GOV get the money from then . ah ha of course borrow it.... ummm NO that it makes it worse, so what then is a .GOV income stream?
OF course, it is we all have to pay our way only fair [ unfair bit is the people elected isnt expcted to spend all our Oil revenue/ gold reserves and borrow beyond our means ] so we all have to help the new .GOV to pay off our debts and go through a bit of hardship. Pity is some then think it is unfair to have to pay more taxes so decide to re install the original perpetrators again to put us through the pain barrier again and in 4 years paying more tax than now because it gets added to the "higher tax" we paid 4 years previously and now have all the additional borrowing for the next .GOV to sort out circle within the circle.....................

He jumped ship knowing that the debt [£trn's ] he had built up and its consequences that they would likely lose the next election so it would go down in history he was not ever defeated as a PM... AND THUS responsible for the state the party left the country in.
