Enjoy your weekend fellas, logging off for the weekend but hoping its a good one for all

Disappointing day with all the updates on Still turning us down/us not getting the deal over the line quick enough (depending on your point of view)

Lets hope we get someone announced next week and we can look ahead for the summer window

Nor, sit down and drink your pint marra.
Just had a bit crack on with him. Didn’t want to ask him about the situation. Told him her needs a bit of privacy and not to be bothered all the time by fans. Said he appreciated that. Nearly shat himself when I asked what he was doing talking to the wife!!

Yeh I’ve had my meltdown at the club tonight but I don’t think you can accuse them of a lack of ambition.

A lack of being able to execute on that ambition… sure.
I don't think there is really a lot to criticise the club for if we've been gazumped by a club like Lens.

Maybe, we should have pushed ahead with Maric, rather than KLD getting his head turned by Still. But that's about the worst that can be said. On this issue anyway.

Spot on. Only few clubs are able to execute their true ambitions.

They are but theyve clearly showed ambition by going for a highly regarded head coach which is what my point is
Wasted breath mate, we’re a mid table championship side we tried to be ambitious we fell short, Rosenior etc will be fine, I’m more concerned About the transfer policy than anything else now, continue to sign kids, then we can panic

Why would it matter? Surely being a manager of an elite football club is based on your knowledge and ability. Why would it matter where you went to school or grew up?

Cultural familiarity. Sunderland is a northern club, you will have to deal with the fanbase here who are plain talking and different in a fundamental way from, say, Bournemouth's fanbase. Britain is shades of grey in terms of culture.
