More to the point, Scholes didnt NEED to do what Gerrard did because 9/10 he had 10 world class team mates on the pitch and a world class manager.
Gerrard HAD to drag Liverpool up on his own partly because he had a lot of **** around him at various points.
Liverpool had other great players during Gerrards tenure, of course, but there were large portions of time when he had terrible players around him and managers like Woy and a decrepit Kenny Dalglish.

When its scholes v stevie its quite easy to determine the better.

Schokes couldn't tackle like Gerrard

And gerrard could do all the things scholes could do
