Don't know if it's already been said but I would like to say what a superb Minutes Silence / Clapping today by the Swansea and Villa fans. Brought tears to my eyes, not for the first time today.

    Still can't believe it.

R.I.P Gary Speed a true gent and great footballer.

A sad day for football, but more importantly a tragedy for his family. The very fact that it has made National headlines on TV shows the regard in which he was held. RIP.

I still can’t believe it after the news this morning i like most have been fixed to the TV most of the day watching tributes and news. It has been so hard as a fan who never met Gary speed to watch as people paid their respects so i can’t imagine how some of the player’s friends and colleagues have managed to do what they have had to do today. They have all been a credit to the game we love and i am pleased that they took part in today’s games and shows as i believe being the professional that Gary was he would have taken part too.

Again my thoughts are with all his family and friends.

Gary Speed you are a legend i am not sure i will ever understand any reasons but at least now you are at peace god bless you will be missed by more than you could ever imagine.

Thank you 5-Live for a wonderful programme after the Liverpool v Manchester City game.

So many heart warming stories about Gary from such a wide selection of fans. Well done to Robbie Savage for a brilliant insight into Gary Speed as a footballer, manager, friend and family man. Obviously deeply effected by what's gone on but held in there and has gone up in my estimations as a person.

    Sleep well Gary Speed.

Shivers down the spine at the minutes clapping down the Liberty for a true legend to so many people. Still so shocked. Had a great life ahead of him. Thoughts are with his kids. RIP

i dont know why anyone would read such low level 'journalism' but if they are true then if they have any respect for speed they will stop buying it.

Havent posted anywhere on this yet, and still don't know really how to feel about it. Such a tragedy, and if the rumours are true, then the press should hang their heads in shame.

A legend in his own lifetime, a man who deserved so much more.

    RIP Gary Speed

I noticed this written somewhere and thought it was a great idea for us fans to pay our own respect spread the word!! I think tomorrow night we should sing 'One Gary Speed' from the 85th minute onwards as thats how many times he took the field for his beloved country, gone but not forgotten ♥
