Super proud of Russ and the lads today, and of the fans who made the journey. I was at SMS when we last got promoted, and was at Wembley for the league cup final - it must feel magical to have been there today.
I hope Southampton fans managed to avoid confrontations with the Leeds miob. Makes Pompey fans look genteel in comparison.
Remember us getting promoted with Southampton when I was in primary school back in 1978.
We played eachother on the last day of the season and drew 0-0.
