This (and your previous posts) is the greatest series of ITK ever. Love it. At this point I dont care if it's right. No room for interpretation, you're clearly set fast on your info and 'if' it goes wrong you'll no doubt feel very let down. But you've fully committed to a degree I've not seen before and it would be ever so easy to set the ground for 'things change'. 100% respect, mate. If it comes off you're on another level
Maybe Still himself has just requested the 1st of June for announcement and start date and asked for some time to relax and holiday before starting. Bloke won’t have been out of work for years and maybe just wants a breather first. Obviously people might then say “well why not announce it at least” but it might be as simple as Still doesn’t want all the questions from journos, or to do welcome interviews/videos with the club until his break is over and he’s moved up. Players won’t be back until mid-late June so not as though he’ll not have time to conduct interviews 1st week of June. Just a guess like.
My guess is that it's a stipulation from his club. They won't want it to look like they gave permission for talks while he was still managing them. I doubt their supporters would be too happy with that.
Do you still keep an eye on the French press after living there? If so, are they close to appointing someone to replace him?
I do read l'Équipe most days and they don't seem to be in any hurry tbh. The most recent thing was Still saying he wants to go to England but won't go to a PL club. As he obviously won't go to L1 that leaves half a dozen possibilities ...
