Thing is, I dont even particularly like Poch and its not that he himself is going that has pissed me off, its that a) It sets us back somewhat and b) There is no big ready named replacement.
Now if you were to tell me that Klopp, Ancelotti or Simeone or someone of that ilk had agreed to manage Chelsea and they got rid of Poch to bring in someone big to replace him, I could live with that.

I think many of us feel the same way, but Clearlake don't want a Manager who can Manage, we're going to get a Coach. Out goes any suggestion Clearlake are in it to get Chelsea back among the top Teams, it's simply about making the most money buying kids and selling them for profit as soon as they show promise.
Unless I'm really wrong, in a short time no decent players will want to be at Chelsea or come to Chelsea.They could go to Saudi for even more easy money if they are that way inclined. And in an even shorter time, the supposed favourites for the job need to decide whether they want to be Football Managers, or employees of a Capital Investment Company. If they wanted to make money they wouldn't spunk money up the wall on record transfers for young players or bought chelsea for billions.

If you are looking to invest 5 billion for a big return, then football isnt the way to go.
It will take them 20 years to recoup their investment back, maybe longer

5 Billion is peanuts to these guys,They have assets of 75Billion and own 90 Companies, one of which is Chelsea. Their "Project" was all about manipulating the system with long term contracts, buying exclusively young players then selling them on if they show real talent. It never was about making CFC tops again, just an opportunity to buy a commodity with a good "customer" base and maximise profits. The Club can always be sold, any losses written off against Tax in the US. There's a reason so many Clubs are owned by Billionaires, who didn't become rich because they made bad investments. Getting CFC back into top 4 was underestimated by the Clowns, who then got rid of the only person who might achieve it, because he wouldn't toe the Corporate line, instead attempting to improve the Team logically. Not good enough for them, so no more Managers ,just line- toeing Coaches.
The people wrecking the football side of things are Winstanley and Stewart, in who the owners have
" Complete Confidence".
That's my take on things though I do accept the Behbali and Feliciano do have some liking for football, so maybe it's just a big game for them?? Boehly looks like he's had enough, now it's being claimed he's selling his stake in Chelsea.

Me too, if I had 5 billion I'd be watching my football underneath a palm tree somewhere warm. So why do Billionaires buy football Clubs ?? Is it just ego and a plaything, or love of the game ?? With our owners I have to believe there's some financial gain in their plans because there's sure no sense in what they do.

How do you get to be manager of one of the top 5 clubs in the world when you have just presided over the relegation of a club who won 5 of the 38 games they played this season ? Yeah, the simple answer is, there is no answer to that question. To me this is one of the craziest things i've ever come across in football and i've come across a lot of crazy **** in my time ! He was one hell of a player and i suppose you could argue he would have picked up a lot of info from playing under Pep, but feck me ! Anyway this time next year he will probably be in possession of the Bundesliga and Champions League and i will have to eat humble pie !!!

The Manager merry go round is always a complete mystery. Utd talking to Frank, and Pochettino as well, and Frank also in the frame for Chelsea. That's before Lampard to Burnley talk, McKenna to every club in the PL, not forgetting Big Sam, the Wally with the Brolly, Rooney and so it goes on. Obviously winning things or losing makes little difference, the merry go round keeps going round.
Latest seems to be the dynamic duo Stewart and Winstanley favour Maresca, but Eggbali is "drawn to De Zebris' personality ". Oh really?? Maybe he should look at his record too ?? Teams have sussed his tactics and he's only winning 1 game in 3. Sounds "perfect for "The Project" to me.

We only gave Ten Hag a 3 yr contract which tbf at this moment makes giving him the extra year less of a risk.

We've finally exhausted and burnt through all the big name managers in world football, so the latest fad seems to be picking up inexperienced chaff from the lower leagues and hoping they strike gold.
Even if it works out, its still a stupid risk.
The manager, sorry coach, role is the one area where you dont want inexperience!

Apparently Clearlake were impressed with Maresca's moronic dream signings and is happy for them to sell Gallagher, Maatsen and Broja. Though indications are that Chalobah may be staying.

Maresca wants Stefan Ortega in goal to replace Petrovic, then wants to sign Antonee Robinson at left back to replace Cucurella and Chilwell, and then Osimhen up front.

So we will look like this:

Simon Jordan is a ****ing helmet, hence why he has gone from owning a football club, to talking ****e on some second rate radio show.
As I have said many times, I have no love for Poch whatsoever, he is a Tottenham man, but he had players like Enzo forced on him and had to work with a bunch of kids, many of whom had never played in the premier league, and he was finally starting to get a tune out of them, though it took nearly two thirds of a season. We only lost one of our last 15 games. (albeit that was a 5-0 slapping by Arsenal).

Yes they own the club so they are within their right to employ or sack any manager they want.
But the crux of the matter is, we are in the state we are in, and poised to sell some great academy players who were essential to last season, purely because, in the last 18 months, Clearlake have overspent on completely mediocre or unnecessary players, cheifly Caicedo, Enzo and Mudryk, who cost £300m between them and of those, only Caicedo has shown glimpses (only glimpses, mind) of the kind of player he can be.
Mudryk and Enzo have been total ****e. Mudryk put in maybe 2-3 decent performances and Enzo, well, our improvement of form came when he was forced out of the squad through injury.

Now Clearlake have to sell players like Gallagher and Maatsen, and maybe, but hopefully not, Chalobah, to make amends for their financial mismanagement.
