If it's true then what an absolute numpty. Just can't defend these morons. Two of our players have been banned for either betting on games (Tonali) or the football equivalent of insider dealing (Trippier). You look at how much they get paid and the issue surely isn't money. Spot fixing clearly worse, even if he avoids jail and doesn't get a career ending ban it's surely the end ofhis career in Europe anyway.

Wonder if clubs insurance covers this sort of thing?

I don't care in the slightest what he wears but I do care that he's rarely been fit for three years. The only way I see this happening is if we're selling Wilson for £10-15m. As a stand alone purchase it looks like madness but in the context of swapping a 32 year old crock for a 27 year old crock... it's still madness but maybe there's method in it.
