Kind of agree but none of the seniors played more than an hour on Wednesday so they could have just been chucked out where ever for the last 10-15 for the fans.

Pope and Dan Burn up top
Hall and Trippier on the wings
Dummet and Richire as FB's, Wilson CAM and Murphy in goal would have been banter and better

Agree. Like it or not, it's part of building our global brand. The fans can't have the money to invest and expect not to have to work for it.

To be fair there were players who could have played. Although I understand why they didn’t the game shouldn’t have been (expensively) sold as Newcastle United if they were only going to put out the under 21’s.
Should have stuck with the one game then had a fan event.

Shouldn’t have played spurs.
 
I guess if the club said we have to do this and have to take most of the senior squad for PR / commercial purposes, but didn't explicitly stipulate they have to PLAY in both games, then Howe has thought stuff it I'll rest them.

Howe is an employee and will do as he is told.

If he was told that they have signed an agreement and stars need to play, he will play them

Resting them would make him a target for the sack.

If he was told nothing, he won't bother playing them.
