DCL would be a ****ing disaster. Are we becoming allergic to signings from abroad even though our best signings have all been from the continent?

Bowen, good, but he’s at his peak and it’s all down from here. Again I just don’t get what we employ an army of scouts for when we end up getting/being linked with Barnes, Kelly, Tosin, Bowen, DCL. Some of it is…..fine. But it’s not inspiring.

Yeah, if these rumours were true it would become a case of playing it far too safe with signings. Putting too much weight (and money) on players being PL ready will risk slowing our progress.

But signings like Bruno and Isak took the media/market by surprise. That's how to do it, negotiate in the background and then seal it. Not all this press speculation stuff. We might not get to hear about some our signings until ylthey are done. Most of the media is just clickbait.

Tonali was a prime example - bang. Done. Then unfortunately dusted for a while :)

Why I've said 'if' the rumours were true. We have form for buying from all over Europe so could be it's more Edwards fiction... Though Bowen would be decent. We'll have to wait and see.
