I was a proper football nut back in the day, I sort of lost interest after SKY took hold. Sort of got back into it now, and just accepted it for what it is, but no where the levels I use to be with it. Some changes I like, some I hate but not my world anymore sadly, but grateful to have lived so long to have these memories.

Very much like me ... and in fairness I'd be felling the same without the incredible success we've had in the last decade ... times I enjoyed the most were the days of travelling home and away under Jock Wallace and Gordon Milne ... only thing we won was promotion - but the craic was something else - all those familiar faces from not just the area I came from but from outlying towns in Leicesterhire and beyond ... can't beat those feelings of camaraderie, shared pain and misery... and not a whinging plastic in sight!! <laugh>

I consider myself lucky to have been around to experience the last days of the old terraces and the atmosphere that the old grounds had. It was cheap to get in and you could afford to buy a programme, have some lunch and a pint after the game without costing a small fortune.

I know those old grounds had to change, they were dangerous and Hillsborough was an accident waiting to happen. It's good that football is more family friendly affair these days.....But something died when those old terraces were knocked down. I suppose it's best consigned to history, but I feel privileged that I was a part of it for a few brief years.

Oxford v Bolton play-off final on.

They are using var, so I expect that to go against Oxford style of play, which has already taken one player out.

This makes me think about how the rest of the board feel when @FosseFilberto is talking about Leicester being massive:

Twat <laugh> ...

I have never once claimed my club is massive... Happy for you to find any posts to the contrary ... I'm not a deluded Toon type ffs!! <whistle>

... we have however massively over achieved... and I will continue to take immense pleasure in reminding the ranks of the feckless, the unwashed and the entitled on here of it at EVERY available opportunity ...<cheers>

PS you've just been reminded - the category you fit into is purely your own business <laugh>

What clubs are after him do you know?

Not sure but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him get a big job somewhere. Brighton have fallen off a bit this season but his stock is still high.

Man Utd or even Bayern might take a punt? Is Xavi staying at Barca?

Poch isn’t definitely confirmed as Chelsea manager next season is he? They love to take players and managers from Brighton

They'd only won 7 of the last 31 games apparently... so there may be more to it than him simply replacing Tent Peg at United ... <laugh>

I'll be surprised if De Zerbi went to Chelsea, unless someone took Poch who is already doing a good job there, a few twats that need sorting out but that's another story. Not sure if I'd want to go to Man United, managers always seemed to get destroyed there. Who West Ham got lined up?

Scrap that, just googled the answer.
