Ok, so it must be musical - referring to the group called ''New Model Army'' (being a reference to Cromwell's army) - one of them has the family name Tomkins which was also the name of one of the original levellers. Am I getting close ?

Yes Justin was at Peace Studies with me at Bradford Uni......... we used to meet up at all the Watford away games..Halifax, York, Barnsley etc....

Nope, sorry Yorkie. This band formed around 1970 (or thereabouts) - often thought of as being American (possibly because of their name), and with a female vocalist (also with not a very English sounding name).
