I'm sure there were. But where was the harm in saying 'we spent money on player in January that perhaps didn't get as much of a chance as I wanted'. Naming names is a slippery slope to dissent amongst employees. If that had happened to me I'd feel remarkably disrespected.
A lot of owners are mad bastards, Wendy’s, Forest for two, both appointed mangers who kept them up, Acun sacked Rosey and told us why, but still some fans don’t like it. Look at Perez at Real Madrid, he’s hired and fired most of the Worlds best managers, they’ve still won more trophies than anyone else, and slagged them all off.
He told us why he sacked Rosenior last week. We already knew, he didn't need to do it again and go into more detail. Even some of the people who were pro-Liam were saying even if they disagreed with it - they understood why Acun made the decision.
Oh I agree. Said before that we'd all know anyway if he described scenarios without naming names. I think its probably a faux Pas but suspect that's down to cultural difference.
That would be a decision made without input from the new manager, which contradicts what is being said about how decisions on players are being made.
I liked it, I would also like it if sacked managers came out and slagged owners off, Allsop now has free rein to say his piece and I hope he does
British social culture is based around politeness. American culture takes it a step further with forced, exaggerated and almost sickening positivity and friendliness. This is especially true in customer service. I went to Poland last summer and customer service was coldly efficient. No smiles, no small talk, no arse-kissing customers etc. just ‘you’ve paid for what you want, now **** off’ mentality whilst they look straight through you with a blank, emotionless expression.
I have a lot of thoughts about tonight but a large part of me is wondering how many of his points were lost in translation. His English is very good but a lot can be interpreted differently due to a missed word here or there
I don’t think we can really treat football in the same way as a business, football is a public spectacle for entertainment which makes the want for privacy weird. We all saw the poor performances, we mostly all agreed he was poor, and Acun is saying publicly one of the issues between him and the manager was related to the poor performances of the keeper. Where is the issue? It would be in bad taste if a CEO slagged off Brenda in accounting at a company Q&A however it’s not really the same.
No, he said they're in discussions now, Baz reported it too, and besides, the retained list needs to be out out by Sat anyway, before the likely deal completion so someone clearly has to be making decisions somewhere.
I actually enjoyed it, he’s definatley a bedwetter. He pretty much summed up what the bedwetters have said. He doesn’t believe you can pick your team on micro engineered stats. Re Allsopp, he’d spoke to Rosie a few times about a change in goal but Rosie wasn’t haveing it “because he’s good with his feet” They offered to get a keeper on Loan but Rosie said no. They thought that was a mistake so bought pandur anyway. Acun couldn’t understand how pandur didn’t get a chance then got binned from the bench. Rosie said he was t good enough. Same with Ohio, couldn’t understand how he got banished from the squad for periods, especially as we played with no striker….which he also wasn’t happy with. Wasn’t happy with the ewobi deal when we had sinik not doing anything. Then we brought zahoury in who Burnley signed because they missed out on sinik. Wasn’t happy with the pass, pass then back to the keeper. I thought he was good, a little harsh or Ryan maybe. Bob on about Connolly though He said the new manager if he comes would be next week and he’d make the decision on the retained players….who mate out of contract this week
Because if you had a 50/50 decision between coming to City or another club where an owner didn't publicly criticise your performance, which club would you choose?
And he gave him a keeper to fix it....which he then benched....and then dropped completely out the team. Did the fortuna fans think he was worth more like 3 million plus. That's what was touted on here.
