Broadhead was hardly a recongnised player when they joined them

As i said our recruitment has been poor but doesnt mean its a lack of ambition

Effectively you mean Ipswich are only more ambitious than us because they signed Moore - a player we did try and sign. We have a wage structure in place, which we should have as you can see the amount of teams in trouble with FFP

We def need to get the balance right in our squad but just signing 'recognised' players doesnt necessarily bring you success or show ambition, we did that in L1 and struggled to get out of it

Anyway no point going back n forward as ill not agree with you n doesnt matter what i say you've made your mind up as well

Broadhead starred for us in League 1, scored against a strong Arsenal team in the cup for us, so yeah hes definitely more recognised than Hemir, Burstow, Rusyn and Mayenda, but like you say there's nothing you or anyone can say to make me feel like we're currently an ambitious club with big aspirations to play in the Premiership anytime soon, we'll end up being another Blackburn stuck in this league whilst smaller club's have a financial windfall

@Teessidemackem you keep saying we've had no ambition and keep saying that we should've signed the likes of Broadhead and Moore. Well we did go after Broadhead when we had Stewart and Signed Simms on loan but he decided to go to Wigan rather than try to go up against both strikers. According to reports we went after Moore but he decided to sign for Ipswich rather than us cos he played for them previously. So if that is a lack of you call ambition, I don't know what else we could've done

Simms had gone back to Everton when he signed for Ipswich. Again please tell me how we are a club showing ambition, i really don't understand how fans say we are?

Already explained that mate. You havent explained why we have lacked ambition, other than to sign broadhead (who didnt want to join us) or sign Moore (who we tried to sign but his wages were too high for our wage structure)

Before you say it - having a wage structure doesnt mean a lack of ambition, its sensible as we used to overpay all our players and that got us into the mess of L1 for 4 seasons

Broadhead chose to go to Wigan, when we wanted him - not the clubs fault on that one at all

How does that tell its own story?

It shows youve spent money, surely thats showing ambition?

That just says we have recruited poorly

So what do you call ambition? Please enlighten me. Would you rather throw **** loads of money at players to encourage them to sign? For what I can remember we've tried that and it nearly cost us the club!

Wish we went back to the ambition we showed in L1 when we signed lots of experienced L1 performers - miss the days of Scowen, Power, Wyke n co

Are you serious mate? Look at how much weve spent, the age of the players and who we signed them from ffs.
Teams like Boro paid 4m for one player last summer, how are we seriously meant to challenge the top 6?

Spending over 2m on a player and doing our homework properly YES. Weve fecked up in the past not doing that i know, but if you spend peanuts you get Monkeys.
Do you really see us getting in the Prem anytime soon based from the last 2 windows?

Boro also sold a lot more players than us, so had more money to spend

Its all about net spend in the league, we have spent plenty - a lot more than most teams (including more than your ambitious Ipswich)

Added - just checked and we spent the 7th highest in terms of transfer fees, not bad for a team thats recently spent 4 yrs in L1. All the rest above us (apart from Stoke, who were spending the money they spent on Soutter the yr before) brought in huge transfer fees (so they signed hidden gems and sold for more money)

We just havent spent it well, which i have said several times already

I know you won't agree with me but playing in the premier league is not the be all and end all of football!

They made 13m on Akpom and Crookes. We sold Stewart for 10m.
