Can’t really see anyone being offended if Spurs, Man Utd and Everton all got demoted to League One tbh <ok>

Bloke has waited for the goalkeeper to dive then smashed it straight at him. Proper ****house performance from Crewe. Scrotes on the pitch. Very L2.

Think you could have stopped at "I'm always a bit bemused... "

... and what a complete load of contrived and convoluted pish ...

Let's take the serial offenders bit first - as Ern pointed out FFP didn't exist during years of spectacular spending by Citeh and Chelsea - we went into administration after our then owners speculated on building a new stadium financed by monies from a TV deal - those numbers were properly forecast - the TV deal however collapsed leaving the club without our share of those monies a d therefore unable to pay for the stadium - and consequently having to go into administration - no dodgy dealing - no FFP breach - just unfortunate and, in hindsight, imprudent speculation on behalf of the then owners - owners with absolutely no connection to King Power.

Milan Mandric later bought the club and eventually sold it to King Power after we came up from League 1.

Yes there is an argument that FFP was brought in to stop clubs like mine going bust - but you'd have to be rather dim or naive to think that was the sole motive behind the introduction - and the parameters as they have been implemented aren't really fit for purpose; all they are really achieving is to make the Premier League less competitive as it inhibits many clubs, that are in no danger of going bust, from mounting sustained bids to break into the top 6 never mind top 4. Devastating for the Big 6 obviously <doh>

To put it into perspective, we've 'overspent' but are we in any danger of going bust? No - King Power spends more than our annual overspend on purchasing thoroughbred race horses each year. Are we heavily in debt? No - we owe less money than Spurs or United because rather than being debt funded we are funded by share capital - King Power has converted loans to share capital on more than one occasion (or 'Debt shares' as @brb loves to put it <laugh>)

The only financial risk in relation to Leicester City is King Power's - and then, only if they ever decide to sell us and accept an offer less than the value of the nominal share capital - they would then generate capital losses within the UK holding company. But there is absolutely no indication that King Power want out - our Chairman seems fully committed to the future of the club and his father's legacy and King Power itself and the owner's personal fortune appear to have grown exponentially year by year since they acquired us.

The biggest fear for Leicester City fans is that they may just pull out if they conclude that there is no way to fulfill their ambitions due to FFP or similar punitive and competition inhibiting measures - other than that, the love affair between the people of Leicester and our Thai owners is alive and kicking.:emoticon-0178-rock:

    ^^^^^

Long winded way of saying, we've dodged the rules since 2014 and got away with it until now.

Can hardly accuse us of FFP breaches during the year we won the Prem 2015/16 - so post 2014 <doh> - whole squad cost less than £26 million - or, to put it into stark perspective, half of what Liverpool paid for their keeper when they won it ... <whistle>

You broke EFL rules to get to the PL and only got away with it because you went up and they could do nowt about it, same as Villa.

Nope - never proven and always contested - we settled out of court for £3million as it was cheaper than it would have cost to fight it ... if the EFL really thought they had us banged to rights they wouldn't have settled ...

    They took the blood money.

Let's not forget early 2000's when your club sent lots of local small businesses to the wall not paying them for work done though. Community club my arse

My club was poorly run back then ... as I've already alluded to - but what has that got to do with King Power - who have done loads for the community?

    I'll wait...

PS do you remember a bloke called Ridsdale? <laugh>

That's right football didn't start until 2015 in Leicester, forgot about that.

Remember Bates in a worse light.

Bloody hell, you went to all this trouble and yet cannot provide a single argument that counters my previous post. Have City or Chelsea ever gone into administration…no, have Leicester (along with others)…yes <laugh>

You could have just posted “but, but, but” and saved yourself the time. You cannot change history just to suit your argument <laugh>

TBF, Leicester have done nothing more than many clubs when it comes to community projects.
