but he wouldnt like the football
a big rebuild would be needed whatever happened

How many times have you seen people even on here say they would rather win ugly it is the points on the board that matter, LR put points on the board he improved players was probably hopeful some would remain or at least return again on loan,he improved the club on a whole even how other top clubs percieve us, he gave Acun what he asked for at the start which was a base to build on which is what Acun originally stated when he said it is a work in progress if we don't get promoted this year or next then we are not ready, but i very much believe we would have been promoted next year if LR had stayed it was a work in progress Tan and Acun said it enough times.

The Look at meeeeeeeeee attitude and vanity and ego is what is at play here the need to be at the front for first inline for the new toy, it's my club i will play it how i want to, well he is watch how this plays out now.

Thats exactly why cooper and rohl wouldnt come here in my opinion

Its not a good look at all acun going on sky and talksport the day after sacking a manager
Its circus
And we are seen as a bit of a joke in this country at the proffesional level
Rosie was someone who was very respected in the game

From what I've seen and heard since the sacking, we definitely aren't seen as a joke at the pro level, quite the opposite in fact. All the talk I've heard from people within the game is how refreshing it is to have an owner who is so open to playing attacking football, an owner who clearly wishes to fund good high level players coming in and the interest in the role is extremely high, I've not once heard anything negative from anyone about acun or the club ( but again it's only who I've spoken to )

LR has his friends in the industry who thinks it's a shame he's been let go ( as anyone would for their mate ) but again the ones I've spoken to also understand why when you look at the facts and what the owner clearly wants.

I would prefer to win more than have exciting football
but Acun has a point that we are not going to win many games if we try to mainly dominate possession in our own half of the pitch

Thats what is so disheartening

Like i said maybe i was niave

But i thought we were building something long term
Like brighton or brentford

With rosie

New facilities

Just very meh imo and makes me think acun is here only for short term and for profits by getting a prem team as cheap as possibe

With some good fan pr

TBF I've said from the start Acun is a media man and knows exactly what to say and when to say it. He's here for himself and himself only. He will do what's right for him. Yes he's good at getting fans upbeat, happy and buying in to it all which is great, but he's doing it for his benefit and will keep doing it as long as it suits him. Once it doesn't it'll stop.

Imo once we are in the prem he'll have a season as a prem owner then sell for profit.

This isn't me going in on acun before anyone twists it. It's just my opinion

But was not that what he wanted promotion and attacking football, LR had started the process he started to implement play from the back he managed to do that and the football started to look better, the attacking part of it started to come through as the work continued it would have come sooner if we had not lost players through injury.

Now he is looking at a coach who plays similar to what LR was implementing and would have achieved in the timeline Acun stated about a work in progress LR showed the work was progressing and would have continued to improve the Team to compete for the promotion Acun so desperatly needs not wants he needs it.

I think some of those are debatable in my opinion. Even taking that at face value, that's 9 home games where we've played well, 3 of which were against firm relegation candidates.

I think there's a bit of a paradigm at play in a lot of cases. Throughout the season I've seen a lot of people talk about 'dominance', because we've had so much of the ball in so many games, but too frequently this dominance hasn't actually been dominance, it's largely just been possession. I've no problem with us keeping the ball, as it helps prevent us conceding, but in games which you could argue were there for the taking, we've just not stepped up and created the chances to take them overall. The problem we've had all season is being too ready to hit the reset button and starting again instead of picking out a runner. I get the impression we've thought the results would come if we stick to the plan, but without forcing the issue and being more adventurous we too frequently dropped points.

It's all about opinions. I accept what you say as being generally accurate for all of the rest of our home games, even those where we scraped wins (Preston + Huddersfield spring to mind.) We kept the ball to absolutely no effect against Swansea and Stoke and there were too many draws where we couldn't break down stubborn defences (Birmingham in particular, but Bristol C, Plymouth, Coventry and others)

You are right in other aspects to when you read your post properly, when Acun come here first thing was to win the fans over, easy take them on holidays give them discounts, and other stuff like free travel get everyone singing his praises just like the tools in botanic then when he starts his not so good decisions people will say oh Acun knows what he is doing because they love the other side of it not the motives, he is a businessman he may love football but he loves it more in Turkey.

He is a man who believes he can make a profit hence why he bought a club like us we have been there he saw what value we was there if he gets us there again he sells, and unlike the Allams i really don't think he will care who he sells to.

I dont agree that the football was starting to look better
the odd attacking periods werent sufficient to win matches or entertain fans

Surely a media man like Acun would want to stay in the Prem and milk the exposure, maybe a Turkish spin-off series a la Welcome to Wrexham, to enhance his profile rather than run away for a quick buck?

Your missing the point peter , LR saved us from relegation he then proceeded to work on improving us as a team and he was successfully doing that he was told this was a project a work in progress as were the players who come in but it was not was it as they took it from him when only a fool could not see we would be seriouly pushing for the promotion next year after the improvements.

To many outside influences play a part.
