I think we’ll have to make at least one or two expensive buys along with a few data driven ones, ones that show the club really is all in on Ange. Though I definitely wouldn’t blame them if they stayed at Palace. They really could be in for a big season if they bag a few decent additions.

Yes, but doesn't mean that they'll give a foul when it happens to Vic. I wonder if it's partly due to all the commentators when it first started happening saying things like "he's got to be stronger there". The officials watch TV too, and maybe they don't intend to let it affect their judgment but maybe subconsciously they're thinking that is what is happening. After all I've never understood how a ref can see everything that 20 guys are up to at a corner, so maybe they don't see it properly - and then the VAR go with the (easier) 'not a clear and obvious error' thought, and nothing gets given. I actually think it's impossible for a ref to properly ref a corner. That's where VAR should be helping.

Given there's been times where commentators are actually suggesting that teams should bundle into Vic during our matches, which they don't for the other 19 first choice keepers in the league, there's definitely something else going on

The Everton match underlined that when the ref gave their players a warning for bumrushing Vic at one corner...and then shrugged at every other set piece where they did the exact same thing

I just think everyone can see the weakness in Vic’s game and our defence as a whole. The pundit, the armchair fan, the match goer, everyone can see the obvious, I don’t think there is something sinister at play here.

plus everyone knows VAR is useless

To be fair, all goalkeepers are weak to getting barged into during set pieces

That's why fouls are called when it happens to them
 
We could learn a few things from Dortmund on how to defend that’s for sure. Hummels ran back the years there, beast of a performance, Schlotterbeck also superb.

Big props to Terzic though, sort of like Dortmund’s version of Martin Jol.

It’s strange because a lot of Dortmund fans have been wanting Terzic out, especially after being 5th in the league and 24 points off of Leverkusen. They’ve scored the least and conceded the 2nd most amount of goals out of the current top-5 in the Bundesliga. Quite frankly, if that 5th spot for a CL place hadn’t gone to Germany, I think he’d have been in a lot of trouble.

But with Champions League football basically confirmed for next season through the league, and with them now getting to the Champions League final (when no-one would have had Dortmund there, let’s be real lol), it will probably grant him more of a grace period. It’s an outstanding achievement.

It should've either been a goal or a penalty to Bournemouth.
Billing was clearly dragged down with a shirt pull before anything else.
Still, I'm sure that the TV companies are glad that the title is still open...
