I do wonder if Romero could be a surprise departure this summer.

He was one of the players Ange went absolutely nuclear at during the Chelsea game.

Tbh Micky is already outshining him on a regular basis.

I think Romero is rash and not as good as many Spurs fans think he is.

That said, to sell him this summer would be madness as there is a good 10-15 players that need to be sold before the club even contemplate getting rid of Romero.

Nothing will change

Levy will shop at Tescos to replace what he bought from Sainsbury’s but if he knew a thing or two about football he would shop at Marks n Spencer’s at least. No one is asking him to shop at Harrods.

We've already got the 10th most expensive squad in Europe. Now that we've got higher income we should get to the top 6 in three years. I think we will be the highest spenders in Europe next window. I hope we buy 4 £80m players rather than 8 £40m players.

Hope so. A couple of big money signings could really give the other players a boost and fresh energy for next season.

You can see us spending £320m in one window?

As long as big money = big player too.

Big money was spent on Ndombele, Lo Celso, Richarlison and even Johnson yet we’ve not gotten big players. I do still have some faith the latter can turn good but he needs to be more expressive and brave.

It’d be nice if we could spend £60m-£80m on a player and they turn out like a Dembele/ Modric/ Eriksen/ van de Vaart/ Son type of player, someone who’ll wow you.

Admittedly this is cribbed off someone on either Twitter or Reddit, but there is a sentiment out there saying we need one or two big money signings - most obviously CF and DM - but we should also be integrating the youngsters into various positions

This may have been in one of those "Well the Europa league isn't so bad" threads...

I think we need three, the two positions you’ve mentioned but also basically a right sided Son. Easier said than done of course but Son is our only wide forward capable of 15+ goals a season and who puts genuine fear in the opposition.

I do hope in time Johnson can come good but equally I wouldn’t like to risk him or Kulusevski being our guaranteed starting RW. Kulu can cover RW and centrally, Johnson can cover both sides but I’d like us to try and bring in someone who’ll come with the closest of guarantees to banging a healthy amount of goals/ assists.

Hence why Werner can **** off back to Germany as we’ll have enough depth if we do manage to bring in a quality wide forward.

Looks like Antonio Nusa is the prime candidate, what with Roony Bardghji out until sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas

He’s welcome to join with the aim of developing into a baller but he’d have to be a bonus of a signing, not a prime target.

We need someone of genuine pedigree.

This is why I don't see Santi Gimenez being the transformative signing we need

While he is good at that whole being offside until just before the ball is playing before sneaking back on to score trick that van Nistelrooy and van Persie were absolute buggers for, there's enough gaps in his game that make the fee that Feyenoord were asking for back in January something to steer well clear of - and the fact he's scored just three goals since the turn of the year is also something to be wary of

Vlahovic has been my preferred choice since the moment we were linked when he was still at Fiorentina. Closest player in my opinion to Kane stylistically. Whilst Juve will have CL next season, the fact they’ve not given him any titles yet leads me to think he could be gettable with the right persuasion, especially if Paratici can pull a few strings.

That’s a proper statement signing too; taking a good player from a great club.

Jonathan David is the CF I really want to see us make a play for, as he's got the pace and workrate required, plus he drops into the pockets between attack and defence like H used to do so we won't be isolated up top - and AFAIK he's still entering the final year of his contract

Also coming around to Albert Gundmundsson as he's silky smooth, and he offers a few options as he can play up front, in the hole, or on the right...though that being said, he does have the slight feel of an ideal bench player instead of a starter

Apparently there’s yet again interest from Saudi in Richarlison and we could even get our money back…

Odds on us rejecting it just like we done with Emerson in January?

I don't see it happening, but I hope we bring in Eze, Olise and one of Nusa/Williams. Let Werner, Gil and Lo Celso go.

Let PEH go, bring in Palhinha from Fulham. Doubt very much this happens.

Add Toney, preferably, or Giminez, I think either would be an improvement in options.

I understand we're in for Calafiori, who could be good as cover for VDV and Udogie, and Gudmundsson who seems like a versatile front-line player.

For me, Olise is the right sided Son that you speak of.

I’d headbutt a nun for Olise and Eze.

Paulinha’s a weird one for me. CK said the other day that’s who he wants and I don’t know why, nor even can I put my finger on it, but I just don’t know if he’d be the right fit. I think he’s a very good player but… I dunno. He’s better than what we’ve got at 6 though so on that alone I suppose it’s worth pursuing if a deal can be done.

Toney’s a big no for me though. Attitude stinks like sour ****, the way he’s constantly mugged off Brentford is just a massive red flag for me. Vlahovic would be my dream signing for the striker role but if not him I’m happy for the club to try out Gimenez or someone else via the data driven system.

I’d be surprised if Calafiori wanted in at Spurs if he’s seen Dragusin’s game time. Plus Juve and Leverkusen have both been linked with him too. I reckon it could be Kelly that comes in on a free, covers the LCB and LB roles after the expected departures of Sessegnon, Reguilon and possibly Davies.

I think Richi will reject it anyway. It makes no sense for him to go there, for football reasons anyway especially at his age.
