They've still got Chatham Dockyard more used for filming locations and any lost tourists now. Oh and they have an old castle in Rochester, and a Cathedral, the latter town probably being the only town worth visiting in Medway.
well that needs setting out as last time you wanted to continue using the Pound . I'm not sure financial experts are quite as nonchalant about the ease of setting up a brand new currency .
Rochester has a car park system where you don't even need to use a parking app, any residents can just register their vehicle and it auto takes the money everytime you drive in or out of their car parks, without you having to do anything. Not that I would drive into Rochester town centre these days, fook that.
You posted before currency is nonsense bro I wouldn't be throwing shade from that high horse if I was you What would happen to peoples savings, pensions and the rest if Scotland lost the pound, had to have its own currency and start trading with it? People could realistically lose a tremendous amount of money.
Surely Scotland will just use the pound when they become independent? Would be crazy to do anything else right at the outset imo.
It's up to the bank of England. The Scottish retail banks only issues "Scottish notes" based on how many Bank of England notes and coins they hold in reserve. After the break up of Czechoslovakia, the Slovak koruna was 30% weaker than that of the Czech one. All the examples Spurf gave, Norway, Iceland, Denmark, all have independent currencies and they're all weak. It's 13 NOK to 1 pound sterling.
well 2 obvious things 1. They wouldn't have control of one of the main financial ;levers England would 2. We would be affected by their financial decisions so why would we agree
