Watched the game again this Morning and Burn was very good again. Makes me think the cb situation isn't as bad as I thought.
This summer cb is surely the priority though and maybe gk.... there isn't actually anything wrong anywhere else if everyone's available...amr and striker maybe, but that could probably wait.

RW is an issue for me.

Left back need cover. I like BDB at CB. That’s his best position.
I understand that, but the money situation means it's unlikely they can buy two cbs a gk and a rw of real quality, so I think the priority should be the defence. This fwd line is as lethal as any other in the division already.
A GK definitely as apparently Dubs wants away.
We are getting that Fulham player on a free.
We are getting Kelly on a free aswell.
So we should have enough money for a top RW.
Last I heard was the player wasn't decided on anything yet mind. It's good that Newcastle are now in an position to start snapping up good players on free transfers.
These kind of targets will wonder if they'll play regularly the bigger clubs and Newcastle might be seen as the better option.
Agreed with this. We can almost guarantee first team football. If they go to a top six club (are we one yet) they will probably be bench warmers.
Wilson's record outside of the Prem is 1 goal in 13 matches, which is frankly ****e.
Fit most of last season but has only played half of this season and only played half of 21/22 as well.
Keep him for one more season but as impact sub from the bench, cos too much football might break his poor little bonesies.

Doesn't matter what his record was outside the Premier league. I have to say for a player that joined the club late in his career and considering how well he's done I find the stick he gets to be very strange. I don't know why or how many times people need to know the importance of strength and physical presence up top either... I'm assuming that's coming from people who never even played..they don't see, value or understand it.
Injuries have blighted his career, but very rarely were both him and isak Injured.. a striker as good as Wilson would cost a huge amount, so unless he really fancies Saudi I agree another season because he's still a useless player... I believe he's a good person in the group aswel always laughing and joking which is important.
He's a top lad.
