Second Tier pod have us as favourites for the play offs IF we make it because we're the only side on a winning run. Interesting how the outside world perceives things.

meanwhile, in scottish league 2, champion stenhousemuir drew for the eighth consecutive game (and tenth time in 12 games). with one game to play, they are 11 points clear.

at the other end of the table, bonnyrigg rose hung on to 8th place with the point from the draw with stenhousemuir and they are now safe from the drop, barring outrageous scorelines in the final games, which would require, along with other improbabilities, new bottom team stranraer to beat champions stenhousemuir by at least twelve goals. long-time last place hogs clyde won and now probably need only a point to survive, and that only if stranraer win against the champions.

i don't know what the procedure is with promotion and relegation to and from the sfl, but it looks like stranraer will be replaced by either east kilbride or buckie thistle, who pipped berwick city to the highland league title with a goal difference better by just 2 goals (+64 compared to +62).

Yeah, I saw it finished 0-0, then thought there must be a second leg, only to check again this morning to see they lost 5-4 on pens...According to a Barton based Scunny fan I know, Scunny are the only full-time side in that league, and they still can't get out of it....Hard times for the Iron ahead. Shame really.

I've never rated Jimmy Dean their manager, I can see him getting the bullet.

Keith gave it a good go the other week, only losing by the 1 goal.
This last weekend it was Clyde (don't know if they are related?). Anyway, he managed to beat East Fife 1-0. Amazing effort from the bloke. <applause>

I watched that Footy Adventures guy this week, he visited the fantastically named Kirkintilloch Rob Roy, and earlier in the week Camelon Juniors FC where a bloke has built his own stand in his back garden to watch Camelon. :emoticon-0125-mmm:

It was launch/taster day sessions yesterday for Lewie Coyle’s footy academy. Fantastic to see many players attending to support Lewie, on their day off, especially day after that epic night of football v Ipswich, just goes to show the camaraderie & closeness of this fab group. Some fab pics on f/b of youngsters with many players including Greaves, Delap, Doc, Morton, Macca, even Connolly….eek, not sure he would be such a great role model, so, he’s still around :emoticon-0104-surpr

I'd give Connolly the same deal as this year, and spend a few extra quid to see if a shrink can sort his head out. Get him in earlier than the team in pre-season too. :emoticon-0125-mmm:

Thing is, what will he do next season, is he still up to the Premier League?

To be fair to Steptoe...

He couldn't score in the Premier last time and I'm sure I've read his plan is to retire - which would be fitting end
