Cardiff City: Horvath, Romeo, Goutas, Phillips, Tanner, Siopis, Ralls (C), Turnbull, Bowler, Ashford, Diédhiou.

Substitutes: Turner, Giles, Lawlor, Conte, Sawyers, J Colwill, Wintle, Antwi, Robinson.
Where's Rubin????

Not really impressed that we've started with Diedhiou and Bowler.....

I thought the youngsters all did well. Ashford not so much first half but much better second half. Conte very impressive at rb and Colwill Junior very good once he settled.

With Isak Davies, Eli King and possibly Bagan to return we could have a very good, young squad bolstered by some older heads next season.

I don't include the shockingly bad Deadhead, Siopis and even Ralls in that category. Yes, I know Deadhead will be gone and not too soon.

I thought Turnbull showed more of what he can do today given a whole game. He can be the binding for the youngsters.

Just need more pace upfront who can score and a good winger. Tanner did well at lb first half.

Conte has what the whole team lacks - pace. There’s no reason why Bowler should start next week or even Grant as they’re going back to their clubs.

It was a strange game. Hovarth kept us in it first half until we again conceded just before half time then a fortuitous second either side of Goutas hitting post and Turnbull chipping just wide (both should have scored) but then chasing a way back in conceded 2 breakaways.

Boro were better than Southampton at finishing (who should have won by 3 or 4).

I repeat give the youngsters a start next week.

I haven't seen anything on WoL or elsewhere but have the club said why Rubin Colwill wasn't in the 20 yesterday? I don't recall any pre match injury doubts.
