Our final game at the Vic of a lacklustre season. It started well enough with the defeat of QPR, but season ticket holders soon found that games were not enjoyed, but endured. Gino kept his trigger finger quiet longer than expected as the chorus of boos became louder. Eventually, he asked his head coach to depart, and appointed an inexperienced, but ex-player to take charge until the end of the season. The players responded to the change, and people started to enjoy their football again, even if the home wins still didn't arrive. So here we are with the last chance to get that win, and depart for a summer with hope for the coming season.
Sunderland are another team that are already thinking about next season after a disappointing campaign under a number of different managers.
Mike Dodds has brought some short-term relief at the Stadium of Light with nine points from the last seven games, enough to keep Sunderland around the mid-table positions.
The Black Cats also have a recent victory at promotion-chasing West Bromwich Albion under their belt, yet that has since been forgotten on the back of losing at home to Millwall.

TC update: Chakvetadze (groin) won’t play tomorrow. Late decision on Dele-Bashiru. Ngakia setback in training, won’t play again this season. Sema available from start. Porteous will be involved tomorrow but not at Mboro with Euros in mind
Classic Ngakia - did wonder how fit he was when coming on with loads of strapping on like you see some rugby players have!

Probably not risking Chakvetadze with the Euros in mind too.

Hopefully Sema plays.

That's why he was giving the once over on the U21's: to see who is best placed to come in.

Ngakia - our very own 'Sick Note' - will he play again at all? <doh>

Watford and Sunderland are the only teams in the bottom half of the table with a positive goal difference - both on 1. Here's hoping we are the only one at full time.
Something to play for anyway...
