When the takeover went through did anyone expect to be seeing Longstaff Krafth Murphy and Ritchie anywhere near the club never mind playing regularly almost 3 years after? I like to think I stay grounded , but NO I ****ing didn't.<laugh>

Palace have a gem in that Wharton lad, pity we didn’t spot him before they did. He would be brilliant in our midfield.

Newcastle have tried to unearth young talent but Howe is against it... he definitely prefers the experienced plodders.

It's hard to believe Newcastle have spent such a vast amount of money. Sell isak Gordon and Guimareas and we're back to square one.

I never said I don't like him and no it's the way you can look at it. He's always falling over aswel. He cost us the second goal directly giving the ball to Palace which also happens regularly.
lol you don’t need to say you don’t like him you call him worse than s*** during and inbetween games.
They all gave the ball away regularly last night but you will always select Longstaff to slate for it.

Experienced plodders like Trippier, Tino, Hall, Botman, Bruno, Isak, Gordon?

He didn't pick Hall.... the players in referring to are Livramento Hall White and the cb Murphy. Howe has continually favoured playing Ashley's players ahead of them. This isn't about last night it's an observation over the season.

He also had this approach at Bournemouth who've become a better club since he left.

Saying someone is **** isn't the same as saying they're an arsehole though is it mate. He isn't good enough. Two different things.

He didn’t see some of those youngsters as being ready yet when he’s got experienced players there which he’s qualified to do. You might gamble on a young inexperienced player but it’s not your job on the line. Trippier, Gordon, Botman, Bruno and Isak are mostly young and certainly not plodders. You say it will all take time then moan because everyone hasn’t been replaced after a couple of seasons.
Have Bournemouth done anything special since he left?

He didn't think but that doesn't mean he's right. This is the entire point. We know the players he picks are not good enough and the players he thinks aren't might have it. See Hall's introduction vs West Ham as an example.

Nothing near as special as what they did whilst he was there. Three promotions in six years, pretty special.

Depends if they get relegated or not... he did well but unfortunately the end result was complete annihilation. Bournemouth fans don't miss him now.
No, the success of his time at Bournemouth doesn't depend on your definition. He took over when they were in league two, with a 17 point deduction and a transfer embargo. Kept them up against those odds, then got them promoted the next season (embargo still in place). Went to Burnley for a while, came back and got them promoted again to the Championship. Consolidated then promoted again. Then had them going well for a while in the Prem. This at a club that before Howe managed them, other than a very brief spell in 2nd tier during the late 80's/early 90's, hadn't been above the third tier since before the 1920s.
