The goal should have stood BUT there were couple of times when Man U COULD have been given a penalty for handball which had they scored would have meant that the set of circumstances that led to the Coventry goal would not have happened

The problem is NOT VAR because it works on every other sport that uses it, the problem is and always will be the problem is the failed referees that implement it

VAR was invented to try and prevent Klopp from having a massive open top trophy fest when he finally crawled away from Liverpool

I think the way the system is set up is also a problem. Some decisions they can overrule, others they can't seems a bit bonkers imo. Also why don't they make a point of telling refs that when we ask you to go to the monitor you don't have to overturn your decision every bloody time.

I agree though, it is largely **** because of the individuals using it. Having said that, the stop/start of games and time delays doesn't help either.

The intervening on Red card or Yellow card I agree with because it can depend on the referees angle of vision, penalties are still subjective but VAR should be there only for the ref to take a second look to ensure he or she is happy with their original decision, the offside debates are a total farce because a toenail or finger tip being offside will not make a change to the goal being scored, it was meant to avoid a goal being scored because the linesman did not spot that the goal scorer had an unfair advantage because he was a yard clear of the defender when the ball was kicked, the drawing of lines just makes the VAR officials look like halfwits

    *Wife's Diary:*

Tonight, I thought my husband was acting weird. We had made plans to meet at a nice restaurant for dinner.

I was shopping with my friends all day long, so I thought he was upset at the fact that I was a bit late, but he made no comment on it.

Conversation wasn't flowing, so I suggested that we go somewhere quiet so we could talk.
He agreed, but he didn't say much.

I asked him what was wrong. He said, "nothing."

I asked him if it was my fault that he was upset.

He said he wasn't upset, that it had nothing to do with me, and not to worry about it.

On the way home, I told him that I loved him.

He smiled slightly, and kept driving. I can't explain his behaviour.
I don't know why he didn't say, “I love you, too.”

When we got home, I felt as if I had lost him completely, as if he wanted nothing to do with me anymore.
He just sat there quietly, and watched TV. He continued to seem distant and absent.

Finally, with silence all around us, I decided to go to bed. About 15 minutes later, he came to bed. But I still felt that he was distracted, and his thoughts were somewhere else. He fell asleep; I cried.
I don't know what to do. I'm almost sure that his thoughts are with someone else. My life is a disaster.

    *Husband's Diary:*

Who the **** concedes 5 goals against Palace.

Four goals and no fooking VAR, this is what football should be about.
