Amazing turn around. No coincidence that the team looked better after Turnbull was hooked
meaning Colwill and Meite were in their best positions.

Southampton weren’t given the red carpet like Leicester and Leeds. Fully committed and even if we hadn’t win it was a totally different display to last few home games.

No reason why those youngsters shouldn’t start v Boro.

ps Ollie Langford has seen some drama at CCS recently v Ipswich and now Southampton

We won!
Where's wotsisname and thingimybob?
The Wurzel one or the waffley one????

Have to say that it really was a good game to watch.

I'll concede that Saints looked much better than we did for the bulk of the game BUT some of our forward play was very decent at times.

I thought Romeo did well until his injury.

Even Diedhiou put a shift in when he appeared (they must have spiked his drink surely???)

All the youngsters did ok but you could see how lightweight they looked when going into challenges etc. but I thought Ashford actually grew into the game well.

My biggest gripe of the day was their diving and histrionics, they're definitely Premier League class in falling over and appealing for things.....
And does Che Adams EVER stop moaning??? Even after they scored, the first thing he did was make a beeline for the ref to carry on moaning about not getting a free kick about 4 or 5 minutes earlier after a 50/50 challenge! To$$er.....

Anyhow, bloody good result and we remain in with a chance of a top 10 finish....

Thing is with only two games remaining, we could miss out on a playoff place if we don’t watch it! :emoticon-0103-cool: Masky

And here is the real problem with Bullit, we can play like this but so many times we have sat back and let the other side dominate the ball. We would not have lost those 20 games if we set out to win games every time. Apparently he told the players to play freely and be positive and not worry if that means they make a few mistakes, why the hell doesn`t he do it every game, if he did I would be right behind him

Telling players to go out there and play freely and not worry if they make a few mistakes seems a reasonable shout at this stage of the season, but it's hardly a policy going into the next one.

It appears Bulut has earned the respect of his players even if some of them don't always share his views. The benchmark is consistent performance in both skill and committment on the pitch from the players directed with knowledge of what it takes to achieve success in the Championship. I believe the players out there knew that at the start of this season but Bulut didn't.

The fact is we won a game yesterday that we shouldn't have. The hard work was there for all to see. The body on the line committment at the back was second to none and the youngsters performed admirably, but Southampton should have scored 6 at least - the reason they lost was their fault not our brilliant play.
