Very definitely yes - if we dont get complacent and start to drop points we should win. Everything is there. We have two or three match winners (4 if you count Brett). We have a settled defence which looks organised and confident at last We have a midfield general in Kilkenny, who has class stamped all over him. We have the league's outstanding individual in Adomah We have the still fit ex-England goaly between the sticks You bet yer house we can
you know what, im known for my optimism but i dont think play offs are in our sights at the moment, dont get me wrong were playing very, very well at the moment but theres alot of games left and we will need about 68 points to make 6th, just cant see us getting that, i think 8th-14th will be good
Lets get out of the relegation zone first! But to answer your question, yes I think we could. Derek McInnes walks on cider!!!!!!!!!
Unfortunately we have started the marathon 5 miles behind everybody else, so for me, its a no. Does look good atm though.
Just to much to ask, but, if we keep the momentum going, safety is a certainty, and who knows, if we keep our top players, add three quality players in the summer, i think DM could take us to the premiership.
No............Injuries, suspensions & possibly losing our wonderful Albert for a month will scupper any hopes of a play off place, however you never know, we sure are playing superbly all over the park. Next season we WILL be a force to be reckoned with!!!
Not this season i thinks but next year if we keep nicky and albert most definatley just think were too far off the pace right now. Ok i know 8 points is not much but its getting 8 points more than all the teams above us, not impossible but a huge ask!
The point regarding Hull is cause for optmism - they were nowhere at Xmas and then went on a crazy run where they seemed invincible. Of course, we pretty much outplayed them at Wembley but just had no attacking thrust. We are playing with great purpose now but I think the real test will come in January for 2 reasons: 1. Maynard may be sold - whether Brett can fill his boots or Del has another ace up his sleeve remains to be seen; 2. Albert will be off to the African Cup of Nations - he is such a creative outlet right now and do we have anyone else in the wings who can create such fear in opposition defences? If we were to keep hold of Maynard and for some strange reason Albert was overlooked, I think anything might be possible. If we lose one of both of the above, then consolidation is the order of the day and 2012 / 2013 will be the real test of Del's credentials. Let's just enjoy and keep the faith for now.
I can't think of any other group of fans in the Championship that would even remotely think that promotion was a possibility while still in the bottom three...
play offs? you all crazy? Automatic promotion going on a 10000 winning streak run until 2050, winning the champions league 5000 times and the premier league 100000 times.
I'm sorry but that level of poor performance will not be tolerated, we HAVE to win the world cup 3x on the bounce as well at which point, DM will be crowned ruler of the universe....
Er - sorry that's just not possible. How can we win the Premier league 100000 times but only win 10000 games?
