Premier League has been shhite this season, and if it weren't for three teams contending for the title, it would have died by now. Too much money is killing it, players wages have got ridiculous and some of those players quite simply don't even care and the bodies running it are weak. VAR, FA Cup changes, additional competitions, new offside technology next season, yet todate nothing has improved the game, if anything they are sending us backwards, but not to a time that was good.
The only positive from the FA cup changes is games only on a weekend. said before, 3rd round and final should be 3pm KO as a minimum.
I think the FA have underestimated the reaction they are going to get, with clubs like Grimsby Town, Accrington Stanley and Tranmere Rovers calling them out. Even non league clubs like Dorking Wanderers are putting out statements. Hopefully they all get together and give a more joint response along with the support of the fans. I have one concern that the FA may want something in return for any challenge, where the straight answer should be 'No' and not allow them to do what they did with the EFL Trophy and allowing Prem B teams in the competition, no negotiations, no deals, they just need to row back end of.
****ing Newcastle v Spurs in ****ing Melbourne on May 25th when there’s an international tournament three weeks later and they’re crying about burnout. Hope the planes crash.
Trippier, Gordon, maybe Pope, Maddison, Werner maybe, Van der Ven, Udogie, Hojberg, Vicario, Wilson, Schar off the top of my head. Player burnout though. Can’t possibly be playing Mansfield at home after being too **** to beat them once.
... and in one fell swoop Sheikh Mansoor ensures that nobody will be any rush to bring FFP / FSP sanctions to Citeh's door ... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-68761025
Nothing on the National League in today’s paper. A half page on Emma Hayes and the big Liverpool AI story though.
