Don’t forget to tune in at 5:30 for Aldershot v the Bwood. Need to win to have a realistic chance of staying up. I look forward to all your match analysis.
I think anyone could for us at the moment: I looked at our prospective back line and was aghast then had to remind myself that in our GK/Defence alone we have Pope, Botman, Lascelles, Targett, Trippier, Hall and Livramento out. I know all teams have struggled this year with injuries but I've honestly never known us to have anything like this season for it. We've only named 3 defenders in our team and only one of those is a CB so not sure what formation we're playing, pretty sure Howe has just put on the only 3 in our match day 25 who are approaching fit. I can see us getting mullered today.
He'll get a couple today tbh. I usually try and be realistic but positive about my teams chances but I hadn't realised how badly we were affected until I saw the starting line-up. Our front 3 are theoretically full strength though at least (though 2 of them coming back from lengthy injuries and ideally would be being eased back in) but behind them you have Bruno Guimeraes standing in the middle of 8 championship level players directing traffic.
I rate all of our front 3 tbh and would back us to score a goal. I just don't see you not scoring at least 2-3 today and possibly more. It's not just the players we have available at the back it's that only one of them is playing in their correct position - Kraft is a below par RB playing CB and Murphy is a winger playing RB. Ideally Burn would be CB alongside Schar but we have 3 LB's out injured so he's there instead. Plus Dubravka is a few levels below Pope as a keeper. Could try and skim over it but we've got Joelinton, Willock, Miley, Tonali (for other reasons) and Almiron all missing from midfield and they're workers who graft to protect the defence. Basically we're going to be very very open today...
