Fair enough, that's your opinion and that of Stan and Jeff it seems.
In my opinion Andersen, apart from that effort that I now believe was tipped onto the bar, was much worse than Willock and Chair, who both worked harder than him.
He also jogged back for their second, allowing the Wednesday player to pull away from him.
As Simon said yesterday, I wonder whether we've seen the best of him already.
Hope not.
I thought they were all crap yesterday, but that Andersen was no worse than anyone else and at least he did a couple of very nice cross field passes. I’ve just had enough of Willock, sincerely hope he’s not offered a new deal in the summer. Likewise Dykes, though I think his contract is longer. Once again yesterday he was nowhere near the ****ing ball on the odd occasion it got into their box. I know people say he does a valuable job elsewhere somehow or other, but if you have a number 9 on your shirt there is a certain expectation.

Were you there Frome? The stadium was packed but, brief periods aside, the home fans weren’t particularly noisy. I could hear the Wednesday support very clearly from the top of the Loft, which is quite unusual for away fans especially when they are only given the top bit of the School End.
Admittedly I was watching on QPR+ and its not always easy to gauge the atmosphere. It's a weird juxtaposition I suppose, on one hand selling out but on the other the atmosphere being muted.

The atmosphere at kick off was electric and the Wednesday fans contributed to that.
However, after 15 minutes the crowd had nothing to get excited about and all those around us were getting more and more pissed off.

It's the day after the night before and although i have that sinking feeling after losing another 6-pointer, it's still the case that at most, 2 more wins will secure our safety. I know we have tough fixtures against 4 of the top 10 to finish but i can't not see us gaining at least 6 points out of 15 remaining on offer. Our unpredictability means that i can't suggest where these points will come from but for me, not to gain 6/15 just seems wrongly pessimistic since Marti arrived. So i would say to everyone, don't panic, keep the faith. Pick up 6 points and we'll be alright - they'll come.

Mmm, not panicking and I think we're now odds on to stay up.
I can't see 6 points in the remaining games, but hopefully 4.

My two daughters, not noted football analysts, thought Armstrong was our best player yesterday but that he was too isolated. I thought he was pretty hopeless, but it's a fair comment by the girls. because the few times we looked to have a threat was when he was played into the channels. Cifuentes just doesn't know what to do with our centre-forwards - all of whom are **** in their own special ways. Might as well play without a number nine.
I'm with your daughters!

Marti's points per game is still over 1 per game so hopefully we'll be OK.

Relegation in November seemed certain and we were resigned to it. To go down now would feel very cruel indeed.

I hope we can beat Plymouth on Tuesday and I suspect we'll beat a team we're not supposed to (maybe Leeds at home??) and then a draw elsewhere will be safety.

However, there is still a chance we could be away to Coventry on the last day needing something. It would be the QPR way!

I think he gave SW more to worry about than anyone else we had out there. Most were below par though Dunne and Begovic did ok.

Begovic punting long high balls at Armstrong, who was isolated in the land of the giants and wasn't going to win a header in a fit of madness, was probably the most depressing feature of the whole sad spectacle.

Agree Strolls. Seeing us punting long balls was bizarre, especially after the time it has taken Marti to get us where we were over Easter. It wasn’t only Begovic, saw Cookie do it a couple of times and at least another player or two. Can only guess it was a tactic, and a wrong one at that.
Hope we don’t see any of that on Tuesday night.

I can only guess that Cifuentes thought their giant back line would struggle being turned and facing the pace and determination of Armstrong, and that it was vaguely possible that Armstrong’s touch and composure wouldn’t let him down every time….but even if that had happened there were no runners from midfield getting into the opposition box to make the most of it. After 15 minutes it was clear that it wasn’t going to work.
