greaves is good enough for england imo
if he keeps it up and learns from the very best

hilarious - Jones, Macca and Greaves are all peas from the same pod - average championship at best - our goals conceded more than confirms that - Rosie sorted out our leaky defence by shipping Greaves and Figs out and installing Macca and Jones - since he's dropped Macca we've started shipping goals again - I appreciate this doesn't quite fit in with the narrative but it's a fact

I fully disagree
Greaves is a step above in every way
Lets see

I was being facetious about england perhaps
But he is prem level 100%

Greaves is a level above those 2. We conceded 2 to one of the worst in the division with Maka in the side at the weekend.

Greaves and Coyle are top championship players, Jones holds his own. Left back we still have issues defensively.

Allsop is statistically the 2nd worst keeper in the division.

not a fan - said the same about Junior Bruce and got slated for it - all he could manage when he left us was Bury, Wigan on the bench and Kilmarnock on the bench, which sort of confirms I was right - lets see what happens with Greaves, if we can get good money for him it will be a win win as far as I'm concerned then we can invest in a centre back who can command the box, win headers from crosses and can tackle and not get easily turned and end up tugging shirts

It confirms that when he left us he was half-retired already.

Greaves is the best defender in the air in the division. I feel like you’re still hung up on what you thought of him last season. Greaves has come on 10 fold this season with multiple other clubs naming him one of the best they’ve ever seen at this level.

lets see what happens when he leaves - and if he's supposed to be the best defender in the air in the division, I look forward to him stating to win the ball at corners and free kicks because more often than not he doesn't

Since Greaves has been out we've conceded 5 goals in two games. Before then we'd conceded the second least in 2024. FACT.

What an odd point to make.

Against Preston our last clean sheet, a very direct side. He won 15/15 aerial duels. With Preston fans claiming he was the best they’ve ever seen at this level

Philogene would get in any side in the league bar maybe a few at the top, Greaves would also get in any side. He’s been absolutely top class for us this last couple of months and our best player. He’s probably the best up and coming prospect centre half wise in the country bar maybe the kid at Everton from Carlisle.

We’ve got some of the best attacking talent in the division, if not the best. Yet we find it so hard to fashion chances. Even though I find us very easy on the eye to watch at times you can’t win games if you don’t score goals.

I just cant justify the following.
Greaves is banned so instead of bringing in Macca he moves Coyle to centre back and Slater to right back
Coyle gets injured so instead of bringing in Macca he brings on Christie
Is Macca really that bad that he has to play half the defence out of position?
It was clearly a tactical decision, partly because LR was worried about his lack of pace against their quick forwards but also because he wanted extra bodies further forward to wrestle control of the game away from them and for 85 minutes it largely worked.

Wouldn’t mind us having a couple of players with his questionable attitude.<laugh>

BTW, have said before, much as I don't like Leeds, mainly because of people in East Yorks supporting them instead of our local team, you have always come across as a reasonable type I would be happy to have a pint with.
Likewise, I’ve rarely had a problem with fans from other teams

Hull City manager Liam Rosenior told BBC Radio Humberside:

"I'm devastated with the result because it wasn't deserved.

"The way we pressed man for man, the way we kept the ball at times, the way we frustrated them, the way we opened up chances, that's what I want this club to be about for as long as I'm at this club.

"But what we have to do is we have to take the chances we create, we have to just manage moments better and if we do that we're onto a really good thing.

"It's a weird feeling because I've got more belief in this group than I ever have before, and that sounds crazy in a game where people look at the result and say 'you lost 3-1.'

"But what those players have to do, and what I have to do, is maintain a consistent level of performance at that level for the next seven games, and if we do that, things can change very quickly in this league."
Sounds like a plea to me...

He's stopped tugging shirts though...And I'm sure there's been a stat that shows him as being one of the top headers of the ball in European football.
