Goal keepers going up is never a good decision.
Just the way I see it.

Apart from a famous goal by the Carlisle keeper, saving them from relegation, I can't remember an instance.
If they were any good as an attacker they wouldn't be a goal keeper.
They are literally a waste of space. Taking space from an attacking player in an already congested area.

When England won the rugby world cup Clive Woodward had a saying "t-cup" think clearly under pressure.
In a couple of important moments tonight we didn't

no its in general, carrick and grant also has unparrelled arrogance
mate come on, youve been in professional sport
the arrogance and confidence needed is huge otherwise you cant make it at any pro level
To a level yeah, arrogance is needed, but we are talking about a guy who is refusing to accept he is out of his depth. Players are complaining to the owner about it, same way they did with Shota.

He should have been humble and gone to Acun for help and a senior coaching figure.

well it makes no sense if sharp is on the wage he apparently is
thats a ****ing joke

how much could sharp teach delap in 5 months?
when delap is not even our player

Maybe you just listened to some rumours?

Maybe he's on a decent wedge but it's for 6 months only.

He was brought in to play off a no 9, not instead of.

Hull City manager Liam Rosenior told BBC Radio Humberside:

"I'm devastated with the result because it wasn't deserved.

"The way we pressed man for man, the way we kept the ball at times, the way we frustrated them, the way we opened up chances, that's what I want this club to be about for as long as I'm at this club.

"But what we have to do is we have to take the chances we create, we have to just manage moments better and if we do that we're onto a really good thing.

"It's a weird feeling because I've got more belief in this group than I ever have before, and that sounds crazy in a game where people look at the result and say 'you lost 3-1.'

"But what those players have to do, and what I have to do, is maintain a consistent level of performance at that level for the next seven games, and if we do that, things can change very quickly in this league."

We don't have the players. Carvalho was poor today again but the goal will gloss over him being anonymous

Carvalho was poor
I bet when Tan Kesler sold the club to Carvalho he didn't say he'd be playing as a central striker, where incidentally, without his goals we would barely have won a game in the last 3 months. And when he was a bit deeper on Friday with Ohio playing, he was so isolated as we insisted on playing with 2 wingers who hug the touchline and run down blind alleys, and Seri who barely got out of his own half. I think he's done ok in the circumstances.

Think you’re by far the best team we’ve played this season, we’ve only deserved to definitely lose two games this season, Southampton (and we did) and tonight.

The difference tonight we were at home, I don’t know if we were poor or you made us look worse than we were. Either way, you’re better than the 4 teams above you, I’d not give up hope of 6th

I think we all have already

Rosenior needs to be replaced for the simple reason he can’t change his style of football anymore than Bruce,Slutsky or Shota could. A manager can’t wake up one morning & say “ my whole philosophy/way of playing is wrong ,I better adopt a new one immediately” We have to get a new manager who plays a completly different/ more attacking style of football & has been doing so for years

Saying that,who would it be?

Sometimes I get the feeling Rosie over coaches certain aspects of the game, moves etc and build up. But if you've players like Jaden, Omur and Zaroury the play off instinct. When Summerville has the ball it will be simply scare the living daylights out if your full back. The amount of times our wingers pass the ball sideways is outragous.

Philogene is young and has had his season disrupted by a reasonably lengthy injury. His early season form was never going to go on all year, now he’s having a tough spell where he (along with the rest of the team to be fair) is clearly struggling with confidence and being a bit more hesitant, taking the extra touch and miscontrolling a few things. That tends to be the way with these kind of flair players but Philogene still puts in a shift, he still puts his body into a challenge and he is clearly still trying. Yes he’s not at his best right now but I don’t think it’s fair to question his commitment or application.

I think he could do with a spell out the starting 11 and to come off bench against tiring legs against some easier opposition unfortunately we’re not really at a stage in the season where we have such luxuries.

Allsop had an okay game. Won’t blame him for the goals and going up for a corner late on is just a common football trope to add another player in the box. Tbh, I don’t think they go up with the intention of scoring from a corner but to occupy a zone so the other team have to mark them, freeing up an actual outfield player to potentially score.

Still think his shot-stopping in general this season has been dross and cost us valuable points. Cardiff fans warned us about his shot-stopping and have been proven right.
