Eagle today from nothing. Hughie middle letter, took my time looking for an unusual word as others have struggled, put two words in which weren't accepted but with a tweak I found my eagle putt. This defo not an everyday word, Think I should go out and buy a lottery ticket with the run I'm on at present. Happy days.
Les Dawson again , the last two Hughies & a juicy, then after a bit of thought 'cos nothing would fit, a surprising birdie, which means a better start to this week than my end to last week It's always nice to see one
Escaped with a birdie. Speculative second guess had me almost there but I still had to give it some thought.
A squeaky bum 6. And it was about the only option with the letters I had left. Didn’t know the word so it was a bit of a step in the dark. Relieved to see 5 greens turn over. Kept my streak going - up to 90 now! Might as well keep my seat cos it looks like I’ll be staying in the 30’s club this week. OOOOY OOOYO OOGGO OGGOO OGGGO GGGGG
A nice little birdie 3 to start the week off. Done this surprisingly quick, under 20 seconds. Weekly chart to follow later.
What a **** show. Had 2 greens from guess 2. Came out with a 6 only because it was the first actual correct word with the letters left.
Right, try again....trying to get this posted while the Mrs is hooked up to R2D2 but the bloody alarms keep going off. Chart for the week. What a **** show this week has been (for most of us). I honestly thought by Wednesday there could be around half a dozen in the 30'club, some by Saturday!! As it turns out there was "just" the 3, but there was plenty knocking on the door!! No fails, but plenty of bogeys and double bogeys about. Strangly, Thursdays word threw up x6 Eagles. Only x2 scores under 25 tells it own story. Onto Star of the Week, and what a week it's been for @cumbrianmackem taking top spot with an incredible 17. That just 1 point off the record, and considering the high scores this week, that really is impressive. Hats off to you mate, that really is seriously impressive. Honourable mention (note the singular) this week goes to @flandersmackem with an impressive 23.
Cheers Snaggey. As always much appreciated. You’ve got enough on your plate by the sounds of it but you never let us down. Well done Best wishes to Mrs Snaggey
Cheers mate, appreciate that. Tbh, its a welcome distraction, I enjoy it. On side note, the next kidney sharing scheme matching process is on the 24th April, so we find out on 26th if we have a match somewhere. Fancy having to lose a kidney to get 8 weeks off work.
Thanks for the chart Snaggey, I've had a really good week. Speaking of kidneys my other half had her left kidney taken out due to cancer back in 2014, it took her a lot longer than 8 weeks to be completely pain free. Thanks to God she's never looked back but these brides don't half give you sleepless nights. I've said before your a top lad with everything you and her indoors have got on your plates.
Wasn't aware of that Snaggey. Best wishes for your wife. I know what you mean about the welcome distraction. Always a good thing to be kept occupied in these stressful situations. Hope that 8 weeks flies and you have that match, followed by a "speedy" recovery
