Where players need to stand for throw ins....no wonder we're struggling to find creativity if players have to stand in certain places for throw ins, just let them play FFS and react to what's happening on the pitch and not what the tactics board says...... Over coaching is killing this squad

I actually agree with having a throw in coach
It sounds simple
But throws can have a
lot of rapid change of transitions with players
Creating openings, when a player makes a run it can drag defenders out
Its essentially a dead ball
And theres no offsides
Etc

But theres one thing having a a plan and idea and one thing conveying it well
And the latter is very hard to do

Absolutely nothing wrong with set piece coach / throw in coach. But telling them where to stand for a throw in....come on. It's micro / over coaching. Coach them to react to what's happening on the pitch in given moments. Give them the confidence to play what they see, not what they've been told

Throw ins - watched Citeh , they have a plan to keep possession thrower and two involved one to receive and one inside or back down the line to keep - They rarely have a thrower looking for someone to move , some players hide Tufan is genius at receiving the ball and cushioning it back - train them all Liam.
As for Zaroury I think he’s being limited by slow ball , Burnley were mobile and countered - like Jaden he always has to beat one or two men by the time he gets it .

Are you assuming he means when it’s our throw? I took it to mean when it’s the opposition’s and we haven’t got the ball, and to be fair LR was just picking out one example of many situations he needs to learn while being interviewed live. Not sure he should be taken literally. Yes he does get carried away with his tongue, but Its more insightful than say Big Nigel.

I would fully expect any well drilled and disciplined team to have very clear instructions about where to stand when they haven’t got the ball.
A few managers earlier in the season remarked how well drilled we were. I guess the only difference between well drilled and over coached is the result.

Agree and agree it’s largely Bruce’s fault.
