Yes - I hope England can go all the way this time, but I’m not so sure that Southgate is the man to deliver a trophy. Hope I’m wrong
I get that, and after the Joe Jordan/jock Stein show at Ninian Park in 85, Scotland were hard to follow. I will admit to being incandescent on that particular evening, but think I may have grown up a little. I recall “scuffling” with ze Germans in Rhodes just after Italia 90. Every bar we went into played World in Motion - cue dancing on ridiculously high bar stools and wandering off to the local nightclub - think it was called Sets in Faliraki - and reliving the semi…although the outcome was different.
