I would like to draw your attention to my post on 606 some months ago and the 2 people who replied said we hadn't even gotten to the corner, now look at us. http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A77323728 okay I feel a little vindicated in regards to that post now
Nice to see your prediction seems to be coming true . Can you now go on to predict us getting a play-off slot, please?:
I've shook the magic 8 ball and it says ask again later LOL. Next 2 games are vital if we can take something from them since its Cardiff and Forest then we could have the playoff spot. But both of them are on form so they could be very tough games. Hopefully a win at home... I hate coming all the way from London to see us lose
No relation to OLM then! Used to run the Oldfield Tavern in Greenford a few years ago, so know the area a bit
forest have won one of there last four - worst since november. cardiff have won one of there last 7 aways.
nope LOL. Grew up in Anlaby, but was in London for University and apart from 2 years back in Hull I've been here for nearly 9 years now. Get to as many matches as I can
this nice run-in table shows us taking 7th place from tws by a narrow margin. http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D1/runin.html
just about. Long day for me going to Hull and back usually home 12 hours after I left. Sometimes happy, sometimes not... hopefully Saturday will be a happy trip home. And hey last game despite the travel issues on the train I got to meet Aaron Mclean on the way
We have one of the hardest run ins of the top 8 teams. Win the last 13 games and we could reach the play offs depending on other results of course but to be realistic, another 39 points and you would expect 88 being enough for a top 6. Coming back down to earth, we should finish round about 8th on current form which is a good return considering we have only 1 player in the team from last year and we can push on from there. Play offs would be a massive acheivement for all concerned at the club of course but I honestly think that the remit is to do as best as we can and see what happens next season. It is nice to go unbeaten for so long and one loss in 18 is great for us all but too many draws from winning positions has cost us hugely. What I like more than anything else though is the football is sometimes great, the players work for each other and the potential is huge for the next season when we should push on to a top 6 finish or even automatic promotion. All in all as long as we finish in the top 10 this season will have been a very good one for Hull City and one we all should be proud of considering the mess the previous regime left us in. UTT
yeah, when I get home I'll upload the picture I had with him. Pretty down to earth guy, Portsmouth fans were on the same train going home from the Doncaster game. They asked him had he played against us and he said it was his debut and they were like, did you score and Mclean was like no and they were like oh well and Mclean just quick as a flash added, we still won though much to my amusement
yeah, he was still in Hull City colours as well. Originally he was in Standard class, but ended up paying out the upgrade fee for him and I presume it was his girlfriend to come into First Class
indeed, he even signed the 2011 calender even though he's not in it, didn't hesitate at all, signed it for me
