Poor Things was class, I'm a fan of the director and it's his best film. Recommended to people who like watching something original and have a dark sense of humour.

Loved this movie, and The Favourite was good too. So I thought because of the director I would watch the Lobster……it was awful. Which other movie of his would you recommend?

I like how he takes on a different genre for each film, broadly speaking, Poor Things was a comedy, The Lobster a romance, The Favourite a period drama and the only other one I've seen is The Killing of a Sacred Deer which is a psychological thriller. I recommend it if you like most of his other stuff although I liked The Lobster haha.

The only one left after that is Dogtooth which was his first film, haven't got hold of it yet but it looks funny from the trailer.

It says it’s on Disney + but can’t find it anywhere, any advice?

Think the wife might have cracked it, apparently Disney + by default filters out anything adult rated and presumably acts like it doesn't exist. To access it you have to change the setting in your account to allow for the good stuff.

You have to do it on the Disney + website, can't be done on the actual app god knows why. If that's not the solution I'm back to being stumped mate.

Wolf of Wall Street
Casino
The Negotiator
Dead man's shoes
Taken
Kickboxer

Films I've watched over and over again.

The new one? Just watched it myself, it's not fine art but it was damned entertaining, not a dull moment from start to finish. Quality fight scenes and pretty funny.

One site gave it 1/10, it was stuff I like, the bully boys get taken down

Yeah that's a bullshit score, I really enjoyed it. Some great characters, Conor McGregor was really enjoyable to watch and there were plenty more. Just a slice of R rated violence with a good sense of humour and a solid story. Nowt wrong with it.

Watched Wolf of Wall Street for the 986th time last night. The Gentlemen is my other go-to these days.
Fight Club is my Friday night film and Rush was often my Sunday night movie of choice

When I was young and single, my flatmate and I would rotate The Rock & Face/Off as Friday night go-tos

The thing is, he will always be Donnie Darko to me

I thought about asking you if you were aware it was batshit crazy but I figured if you didn't you'd find out soon enough <laugh>

What did you think, was there method to the madness or just a weird experience?

I've only seen the trailer and thought it looked too mad for me!
