You're right England won the World Cup in 1966, when I was just a wee nipper and we've not stopped banging on about it ever since. It was a great testament to the playerrs of that time, but to hold that in any sort of ranking now is a joke. Argentina, Germany, France, Brazil, Italy, Brazil, Iataly, Brazil, no Spurs, no England in recent times. I don't even remember us winning the WC, like I'm struggling to know when Spurs last won a trophy bro, nice gift wrap though, even if a billion quid is a bit expensive to make Spurs look attractive, like putting on a wig and having a bit of botox to cover the cracks.
You keep going on about the stadium, the stadium is there to increase revenue so Spurs can hopefully start to win trophies. It all goes hand in hand. How is that a bad thing?
"Life time" is disingenuous imho... in my lifetime Spurs have won 2 UEFA Cup, 4 FA Cups, 4 league Cups ... I have been a fan since I was 7 ... since then we have won 3 FA Cups, 2 league cups and one UEFA cup. As for being a "big club", it depends on your measurements. Recent trophies? Then no. Big crowds? Then yes. History? I'd say yes. As big as Arsenal, Liverpool, United, City, Chelsea? Absolutely not. It's a bollocks argument tbh...EVERY club is big to their fans cos the club means a lot to them. IMHO FFP is a joke. It was designed and is being implemented to stop clubs doing what Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea, City etc have done....they have all used accounting cheats (fake sponsorships, "sales" of land to local authorities in Madrids case, fake sales via partner clubs, and plain lies) to effectively buy their success. Either get rid of FFP or properly implement it. This half baked **** is simply stupid.
Disagree tbh. It was dead under Nuno and most of Contes time but with decent football it rocks. Where I do agree is the soul but that takes time (it's been the same with every team that has moved grounds).
As long as you can still get a smoked salmon bagel and see four people you went to school with and have since become accountants in the West Stand I don’t care.
You've probably watched Spurs more times than most Spurs fans on here...well except RCL of course....oh and one other whose name I can't remember at the mo.
Not that many. Ten maybe. Only done the new ground twice but work have corporate seats so I can usually get a ticket if I want one against the **** teams. Grandfather was Spurs so went to the old WHL occasionally and with QPR a few times. The new ground is what Wembley should have been. It’s genuinely very impressive though for the money it should be. Wembley is crap in comparison. Oooh we built a little arch for £900m grow up. Dierhard goes a lot. Spurly did an NFL game and says he’s been.
