Reading the last 4 pages I would never have known this is the summer 24 transfer thread.
I think we might get some surprises. Howe is under pressure to deliver now. Which makes things different. Fight or flight will kick in.
I expect to release at least 4 players and replace all 4 with better players.
For some strange reason I think Miggy might go. And Joelinton to stay.
I am afraid Longstaff will stay as he brings to much of what Eddie wants to the table.

Longstaff won't be sold due to the homegrown, own club rule (yes, I know we're not likely to be in Europe next season, but the one after that, he'll be one of the only options in that category - IF we do qualify).
He’s worth keeping as a squad player and if we had 3 players better than him he would be a good option to come on to maintain results etc with his engine.
We can’t rely on his technical quality because he doesn’t really have any.
The club needs to show progression so we will be getting some good players in.
I still think we might get MWG from Forrest and hope they go down so we can buy him.
We definitely do have better players, but some have been unavailable.
Hopefully after this summer he'll be further down the pecking order as a squad player.
I know I mean fit and available. The one constant this season has been Longstaff. He never gets injured. Oddly.
Tonali won’t be an issue going forward and Joelinton was bad luck.
Going forward I can see us signing another midfielder and he’ll be 5th choice dependent on Miley/Anderson
Just sell him he's surplus to requirements and frees up money for players that are capable enough.
It will be interesting that if we did sign another midfielder whether we keep Miley Anderson and Longstaff.
Your choice who would you get rid of you had to get rid of one. We can have 7 CM?
Longstaff? We all know this won’t happen.
But if the club did then it would be a positive statement.
I think Miley and Anderson are technically better players with more potential.
Ouch my ears.
So ideal world. We can release 4 players. Out of contract. Sell 2. And replace with 6 with a £150m budget.
Who would you go for?
Why not he's exactly the right player to sell..

2. He's pure profit
3. Miley Anderson white are better plus this new youngster that just made England u21s is coming through, plus others I'm sure.
I doubt we will sell him. I recognise we probably should.
But the club won’t.
Hes young enough to stick around.
But the 6 to sign who would you go for with £150m?
