Still there's no getting away from the fact Chelsea are going one way and it's upwards. The media and fans will be up in arms simply because they're entitled and used to being at the absolute pinnacle.
Essentially Newcastle fans would celebrate the season they are having.

Newcastle fans celebrated a cup run like they'd won the champions league ? Let's just be fair here. They are a bigger more successful club than the toon whether we like it or not, so this question you raised about why they even bother is a little strange imo.
Dunno who these fans you are talking about are, but I certainly didn't. Was great to get to the final but the performance was massively disappointing. 4th was the big achievement last year, final performance was awful.
Chelsea have a big history since 2004, but have been nothing since Abramovich left. Liverpool or City will crush them if they get to the final, and they're currently struggling against a 10 man Leicester team.
They're a big 6 club and nothing we say can change that? They've won everything and Newcastle fans would much rather still be in this competition surely?
You can't use history to justify top 6, in that respect, Leicester have won the premier league, the fa cup, the league cup and the charity shield in recent teams.....way more than Spurs, but doesn't mean that they're a bigger club than Spurs.
Chelsea were nothing last season and a league cup final loss and bottom half currently this season is not inspiring. They are a work in progress and miles off top 6.
I never mentioned history it's just a fact that Chelsea are a big 6 club and are inevitably going to return to the top.

Chelsea have successfully made the transition from winner you hate to losers you admire. I don't think their fans will be glad of this though lol.
It's an odd question ? It's because they're one of the most successful clubs in the country and are trying to win yet another trophy.
We've not won anything domestically for 70 years and we still bother lol.
