Great game, both sides come out with full credit. Let's face it, 6 nations is about winning it, nobody cares about who comes 2nd or 3rd, although it's good when Wales come last...

Ref gives a penalty against someone who was substituted 10 mins earlier. :-)
I quite enjoyed that but I get really frustrated that rules seem to be interpreted ambiguously. .
No two games are reffed the same.
Sometimes no two halves of a game of rugby are reffed the same..

It's because there are 'grey' areas where the referee has to predict/guess/assume what is going to happen in the proceeding seconds in a stage of play and either halt play or let it continue, so it results in more flexibility of interpretation - for example, hands on the ball during breakdowns, and if the scrum may collapse, plus other situations on a congested pitch.

Anyone watching Toulouse v Quins in the Champions cup semi final? Outstanding levels of rugby, amazing to watch.
Currently 31-26 to TLS

Am now. Didn’t realise it was on. Just switched over in time to see the Quins player yellow carded. And Toulouse going over a minute later.

Good council owned stadium. Their pitch seems to stand up well to both rugby and football being played on it.

You're right! I had to even check that, England lost to Romania there in 1998 - my daughter played rugby sevens there two years ago, so I was in that stadium over three days and would never have known that a football team played there - there was no visible reference at all, it was all about rugby. I guess they must have cleared it all away, as it was summer.

Union is played there at same time as football. So if it was summer it would have been close season for both of them. Would have had the rugby stuff up for the tournament.Smashing stadium to have had one of your kids playing in. East Yorkshire boys representative sides played in some tournaments in Toulouse when my lad was playing junior football. Weren’t fortunate enough to play there but the places they played were impressive for junior football. A different world to what we have here.
