Dykes really offered nothing and shouldn’t start again anytime soon.
He should never have been playing in this one. Frey would have been my starter or Armstrong if Frey was a doubt. Chair shouldn’t have come off - there’s a break ahead. I think Smyth & Field should have been on 15 mins earlier.
All gone now. But we really have to get back on track after the break. We’ve missed out on countless chances now.

We lost at home last week, following it up with an away draw isn't the worst result. But for a bit of luck it would have been all 3 points. Plus another game week ticks by and we're still out of the bottom 3.

It would be nice if we'd put more distance between us and the bottom 3 but it's easy for us to say things like we missed a big chance, like winning games of Championship football is a piece of piss and a foregone conclusion but we know things don't work that way.

Games really do not get any bigger than our next one though, that could be the season right there.

Very frustrating game to watch that, made more so by the lack of atmosphere in the ground.
3pts dropped in my opinion. Sunderland's defence was shocking but given an easy ride by playing Dykes on his own, who didn't look arsed to be playing in the first place. Similar to playing with Frey, that if it doesn't go to his feet or on his head then he just isn't getting it. There were a couple of times in the first half where Chair was going to play it into the space for Dykes but stopped, knowing it was fruitless. Armstrong created more in 2 minutes than Dykes did in 60. His pace and power cause problems and will do for any defence.
Dunne did alright again as did Hayden but there was a lack of any tempo or pace until the introduction of Armstrong.

We’re playing a team who haven’t kept a clean sheet since Hitler was eyeing up Poland with a load of defenders injured and Dykes looks like a Sunday league striker who had to just throw up last night’s kebab on the touchline. Dire player and we turned down actual money for him.

You have seen Frey?
