Been watching 15 minutes, we've done nothing. Has it been like this since the start?

    Birmingham and Plymouth also losing.

A win for us today would be massive.

No, we've had some chances. I feel we're getting it a bit wrong.

Dykes is pointless in this type of match. He's totally isolated and has no one to flick headers onto.

I don't rate Armstrong as highly as some people, but it's better to play that type of player and try to put either looped or ground through balls in front of him.

And we miss Field, in my opinion. How the player in best form has been dropped, I don't know.

Their deliveries from corners/free-kicks have been poor. Another free kick crossed high and wide and now half time.

Nothing for us to shout about there. Wouldn’t be surprised if we see a couple of changes at the start of the second half.

Half time up here at Sunderland. Another game there for the taking, passing us by. Dykes up top on his own doesn't work. We have one player who can play that role and it's Armstrong. The role needs pace so that chair, Willock or Anderson can play into the spaces aswell as to feet, you can only do the latter with Dykes or Frey.

Hope to see him as a sub in the 2nd half.

I really want Dykes to do well but he's so anonymous, Frey for all his clunkiness does this role so much better. But I'd see Armstrong introduced sooner rather than later.

Their back line needs to be put under more pressure, if they are they'll crack.

Rotherum would be beating this Sunderland team. Slow, slow, slow! Why take one touch when you can take four?
Dykes is always two yards away from where he should be, if I were Sincs or Frey sitting on the bench watching him, I would be fuming.
All the other results are going our way: three points, Rangers!

I’d bring Dykes on. It’s weird playing with no strikers.

    Agreed with the above

All our relegation rivals losing, really would be massive to nick a win here

Feels like a game we need to impose ourselves on second half

It doesn't even have to be nicking it, we could win this quite easily if we up the tempo. They are crap at the back but only have to concern themselves with Dykes

Huge opportunity for us today with the scores as they are. Needs some Marti tinkering to sway this one our way and grab the three.

The only teal positive is that we're not losing.... they look devoid of confidence which isn't surprising after 6 defeats on the trot....
They are there for the taking.... need to take they game to them 2nd half....

It is was a scrappy first half. Sunderland looked average, but we could not really apply much incisive pressure, so I guess that we are no better.

It seems to be a game which could be settled by one goal, plus it if hard to predict who may score. I would not be surprised should it be created by a defensive error.

I would like to see Armstrong run at this defense and see what happens.

El Cif has to take the bull by the horns and get Sinclair on wnd half. Smyth's pace would also unsettle them. This is a colossal opportunity to take 3 points that we mustn't pass up ! Come on u rrrrr's ffs

I normally defend Dykes. But at times he’s literally watching the game go on 3 feet in front of him. Has to be the first change. If we don’t win this it will be a huge opportunity missed. We have to have a real go at them in the second half
