How do we know he wasn't willing to overcome it? He bit back a little and good on him. He was sacked wasn't he? He didn't walk. Whether he was willing to put up with it or not doesn't change the fact it won't have helped.
Certainly is. That’ll show tomorrow too when a team of bairns with hardly any experience is sent out to play.
We don't, but you alluded to the fans having an impact on him being shìt. I'm just saying maybe he was just shìt. Granted he wasn't given much time. And there is a possibility it may of improved. Although not apparent. Alls I'm saying is if. As you mention the fans were affecting him then (and there wasn't a Beale out campaign) he wasn't strong enough mentally.
Solskjaer hasnt taken a gig yet, despite him being in the media a lot. I havent been a fan of his tbh, but have been back over his record and it is much better thany opinion of him deserves.
I’d be absolutely staggered if he considered coming here. He’ll have been on serious money at Man U, he won’t get anywhere near that dropping to the championship. Also working with Speakman? Can’t see it, at all.
I’d take him and think it’s one to galvanise us and the players, whether he’d come is a different conversation, hell of a club to rebuild your career at
Possibly not but I think you can't help but be affected to some extent by the fans' attitude. There might not have been a Beale out campaign in the ground but there was in the media (both fanzine and social) and he wasn't given a chance and it was over the top in both of those arenas.
I'd be over the moon - he should have been in the running all day long ahead of Beale. Just fear he is too big a character for speakman to appoint.
Time will tell I guess, I can’t really comment on speakman I’ve never met the bloke, enough good players have signed extensions though so he can’t be THAT bad, I try to take most things with a pinch of salt these days
It is unfortunately and is unravelling at a rate of knots. Do you really trust speakman/dodds/proctor at this point? - the experiment of having academy level personnel, inexperienced at d.o.f and 1st team coaching a top 25 football club in England is failing. For the record I am all for the part of this model that doesn't have us in a £100m of debt.
Again, if that affected him then he was in the wrong place. I want a win minded coach not a whinger. All conjecture obviously. Maybe the players didn't like him. Dodd's did well after Mowbray. Not good now. Did Beale set the rot ? Again conjecture.
I tend to agree with this.. With Soeakman it’s his way or no way, not sure that’s a correct way to run a business
Yes, I trust Speakman. He hasn't got everything right but he's got enough right to believe that he'll put right what's gone wrong this season. Dodds isn't a good fit for Head Coach but he's very highly rated as an individual player development coach. It's inaccurate to say that he's an academy level coach. Proctor has been part of the first team set up for a couple years now so he's not an academy coach either. I can see plenty that hasn't gone right this season. Can't see anything that's unravelling though.
If Mowbray was told no why did we sign Dack and if AN was told no did we not sign Pritchard and Baath, seems to me people like to say these things as it suits their view. Maybe we could sign a few more experienced players but these coaches did get some of what they asked for but it is obviously not there fault ever when it doesnt work out as the club would not give them what they needed.
Is it his way or no way ? I'm asking as it does seem that way at times. I'd like to think Speakman works with coaches not against them. If this is the case then it needs looking at imo.
I obviously don't know a thing what goes on behind the scenes at the Club. But I read things and put 2 + 2 together and generally look at his record since he arrived at the club. I was OK with Speakman at first, now I'm not so sure. He come across at totally inflexible ...again, I don't know, but these are the vibes emanating from everything I see and read
I was 100% behind the Beale appointment and I was 100% wrong. It wasn't a complete disaster, the handful of games he won should prevent relegation back to League One. It has to be said he was awful in almost every other way. Calling fans 'background noise', that handshake business and the burner account wouldn't have got him sacked and you have to wonder what actually happened. He was desperate, cheap and didn't learn from his time at Rangers.
Not having a go. Just think its interesting how he is perceived by supporters It just seems to have become accepted currency that Speakman is the anti Christ. "He decides everything. no flexibility. Players and managers don't like him. Its his way or no way" The same opinions are repeated over and over. then people start quoting them as fact. Personally find it hard to relate to the chap too much business speak for me seems a little aloof and insincere. The Beale appointment didn't help, absolute disaster. But was that all Speakman. I've never met him and I've no idea about the decision making structure behind the scenes. Would be very worried if decision making was as autocratic as some make out.
