I was looking for the forum rules - couldn't find it - but I am wondering whether this:

pointless, hate-filled rant is against the rules of this site. I dont care about the petty bickering of rival fans, you can do that to your head explodes for all I care, but this kind of unproductive tirade strikes me as going far beyond the realms of what should be tolerated. Not least of which because appeared completely unprovoked. If you have been provoked by somebody on this website then it would make sense to respond to them in the thread that they commented in and not to drag your dirty laundry into an entirely different thread.

Yep, totally agree. Moderator hat now on. Little bit of editing, might be in order, Godds. NB; this is on our board too, you know. At your earliest convenience please, it would be most appreciated.

We really did hit the jackpot the day Cortese and Liebher took an interest in Southampton Football Club. Is Nicola the best football chairman anywhere in the world? Might be.

Balancing the books and growing steadily is certainly the way forward for football, so I'm delighted to have Cortese. In the past, you had real football fans who made their money locally and put their hands in their own pockets for the clubs they loved. If they sold the club, they cared enough to find a good buyer. That's the past...now dodgy billionnaires swoop in and buy themselves a toy. What happens when they have problems or lose interest? We got the ideal mix...Markus had no interest in football (that was NC) but was a good businessman. Whatever happens we will be left in a far better position than we were before, but hopefully we'll be kept by the Leihberr's as a visible memorial to Markus.

Let us take each of these points in turn:

When did you last have an owner whose business dealings were open and transparent and not connected with dubious aspects of middle eastern and eastern european mobsters?

What was the comment when your club was last in court? Trading whilst insolvent I believe.

Your fans know that your recent PL success and FA cup win were financed with money from suspect sources as well as money owed to the tax man and yet they still gloat. Indeed not one Pompey fan has ever shown an ounce of remorse or admitted that the behaviour of the club was unacceptable.

Just go and read the poisonous bile written by Pompey fans on the News website. My comments above are kind and generous by comparison.

The last statement needs no comment.

So instead of suggesting I have broken rules and my comments should be edited how about either defending your club against my comments or or letting us know how you feel about the behaviour of your club over the last couple of decades.

Wow. You must be such a lovely person in real life.

    Bet your parents are proud.

Can we get a mod on this joker please?

It's not the fans fault - its the management - insulting the fans will get you no where but banned.

How about we take your comments one a time and make you realise that you are spouting drivvle through hatred.

When did you last have an owner whose business dealings were open and transparent and not connected with dubious aspects of middle eastern and eastern european mobsters?

From when has it been the fans choice who takes over the club? How are we to blame for the F&P test set up by the FA failing?

What was the comment when your club was last in court? Trading whilst insolvent I believe.

The court case was concluded in a CVA agreement. If you have a problem with then take it up with the courts - not with the fans. Everything went though the law courts and everything was stamped as being legal. Had it been illegal we would have been shut down.

Your fans know that your recent PL success and FA cup win were financed with money from suspect sources as well as money owed to the tax man and yet they still gloat. Indeed not one Pompey fan has ever shown an ounce of remorse or admitted that the behaviour of the club was unacceptable.

I think you will find, had you done some research and taken your hate filled glasses off that the majority of us fans feel bad about what happened - but it was out of control and still is. how is insulting the fans doing any good?

Just go and read the poisonous bile written by Pompey fans on the News website. My comments above are kind and generous by comparison.

I think this is a case of pot kettle black my friend - the news might have some drivel posted on it - but then you pipe up with your hate filled rant. Take a look in the mirror maybe?

The last statement needs no comment.

Who cares what people are called on here? That is their own choice. Maybe you are a Daily Mail reader? If you get offended by lifes little things then maybe you need to sign off any public forum for good. Just a suggestion!

So instead of suggesting I have broken rules and my comments should be edited how about either defending your club against my comments or or letting us know how you feel about the behaviour of your club over the last couple of decades.[/QUOTE]

How can we defend out club when the things you have problems with are at no fault of the fans. Us. You have shown yourself to be a right prize plum. I though the days of St Godders were over when you got a ticking off last time - oh how wrong everyone was!

Can't stop to argue with you now. I am off to spend the weekend with my Bristol City supporting friends. Nice club, nice city, nice people.

When did you last have an owner whose business dealings were open and transparent and not connected with dubious aspects of middle eastern and eastern european mobsters? Chanrai was deemed a fit and proper person by the FL and by the High Court. He is deemed to be just an ordinary businessman, unless you have evidence to the contrary?

What was the comment when your club was last in court? Trading whilst insolvent I believe. The fans took the only action available to them, they raised their concerns and I believe the television coverage of the marches showed the extent of their horror at what they could see was happening at the club. Perhaps you could remind me of the circumstances and the action Saints fans took when your club went belly-up and entered administration.

Your fans know that your recent PL success and FA cup win were financed with money from suspect sources as well as money owed to the tax man and yet they still gloat. Indeed not one Pompey fan has ever shown an ounce of remorse or admitted that the behaviour of the club was unacceptable. You have got to be kidding me! I suggest you go back and re-read all the coverage and postings where this subject has come up. However at the time nobody was aware of the source of funds.

Just go and read the poisonous bile written by Pompey fans on the News website. My comments above are kind and generous by comparison. You should have identified and included the Saints posts as well, wumming of the worst kind. They call it "skate-baiting". If you consider that outrageous rant to be kind and generous then you are seriously not as articulate as you consider yourself to be.

The last statement needs no comment. See above.

So instead of suggesting I have broken rules and my comments should be edited how about either defending your club against my comments or or letting us know how you feel about the behaviour of your club over the last couple of decades.

    Let's use your own words!
You can be patient and tolerant as well as understanding but there comes a time when you have to say enough is enough. That is where Pompey are now and whether the FL have the balls to do something about remains to be seen.

There's nothing wrong with criticising the way a club has been run but to do it in such a hate-filled way and in a way to suggest that the fans were to blame, is nothing but WUMing. Surely if your posts were a simple, honest critique of the actions of Portsmouth FC as you claim them to be, then they wouldn't need to be filled with petty and snide insults (which they are)?

He may have started off with no interest but I saw photos of him, taking photographs when the team were lifting a trophy, and his delight was very apparent, he looked very much a fan.

I think that's the point, 3rd eye, his interest in Saints was as a fan, and he wasn't interested in the minutiae of actually running the club, which left entirely to Nicola Cortese.

Nicola once said that Markus always looked relaxed at games (as opposed to himself) because all he had to do was turn up.

Reading this thread, I'm astounded why Saints fans have to keep on burying the knife into Portsmouth FC. Do you NOT remember how Saints were so close to winding up, only a few years ago..? This really reflects badly on SFC, to have such petty fans.

When I witnessed the situation at SFC, now 2½ years ago, like many others, I said that I wouldn't wish our situation on any other club, including our nearest rivals. I meant that. It wasn't b******t, it was genuine. I want to see PFC healthy and prosperous. I want to see the whole South Coast of clubs competitive and thriving, with Saints spearheading the advance. And some of you lot just want them to disappear. Frankly, I ashamed to be associated which such thoughts as those.

End your petty squabbles and support your clubs as you should.

Real fans give their club unconditional love..they keep turning up whatever the clubs form and however much they moan about it. I know I would watch Saints if they were non-league. Fans such as these at Portsmouth must be in despair at moment (though the club say everythings the same!!) so, whilst I will always want them to be below Saints, I feel for them.
