I'm going down for a few beers with Frattonfunkdaddy, then we'll draw a chalk line on the Old Mother Shipton car park floor and have it. I hope he has dental insurance.
I would be more concerned about whether your club is going to survive what appears to be another episode in ownership. Stop shouting off your mouth for once and ask "why can PFC only attract money laundering crooks" Perhaps you and your ilk are one of the reasons
We're not the only ones. Look a little bit further afield, eg Birmingham. Perhaps you should rephrase the question to: "how lucky are we that we didn't attract a money laundering crook?" Oh - and you have your share of idiots, they appear all day long, every day, on the snooze website.
Come on 3rd eye, No Club has a bad a track record as yours, we all know its nothing to do with the fans, but please "Perhaps you should rephrase the question to: "how lucky are we that we didn't attract a money laundering crook?" Its your Club that has been filthy for quite a few years, brown bags and all.
I accept your comments with good grace 3rd eye. However, you must agree that PFC has a lot of previous with doubtful owners. I think your infastructure (inc Fratton Park) is frankly third world in todays football scene and until this is rectified (God knows how) then you are not an attractive option for anyone
Well, no offense to them but Fratton Park is better than Vicarage Road. At least we have four sides! So what do you propose we do about it then? What can we do about it?
The Football League has to take a look at its own fit & proper owner regulation, and administer it properly. Im not sure what you fans can do, other than protest for better owners, with placards and flags, so that you get coverage. Yes, I know that seems like biting the hand that feeds you, but there seems to be little else you can do, other than explaining your grievances, to a wider audience. Mind you, I'm not that imaginative on these matters.
You are totally right on the "The Football League has to take a look at its own fit & proper owner regulation, and administer it properly." TSS But i feel a situation like Portsmouth had last season owing the Tax man vast amounts and managing to stay trading as Portsmouth Football Club should not happen again. I believe true Portsmouth Fans would and some said at the time, they would prefer to start again Under a similar name in a slightly lower league with a real owner who cared.
Think you should primarily praying that PFC is still in existence by that time. Don,t think Antanov & his sidekick will be present. Not sure if they have SKY in Lithuanian prisons!
Not a thing I can do about it I'm afraid - apart from not attending home matches (and there are fans who have voted with their feet) - which in turn brings out the Saints WUMmers on our attendance figures. You have to admit you were lucky - if ML hadn't been around at the right time for you then........... there but for the grace of god............ which leads me onto....... if you know its nothing to do with the fans why attack us?
Thank you saintsalive. Yes, you are quite correct - wouldn't you then think that the FL & FA would be more scrupulous in their FAPP test for Portsmouth FC (and now Birmingham FC)? Infrastructure - absolutely agree, rectified (?) not holding my breath there, attractive option - could explain why certain types are attracted?
