Speaking of a kick in the teeth: Unbelievably stupid challenge. Rodgers probably thought they'd get away with it.
How many goals you reckon those lot could score between them over a season if they were your front four?
I had about 15 but with similar reasoning with Soldado’s penalties . Had Richarlison down for 8, Soldado 5 (4 pens), Werner 2 and Janssen just there for the vibes.
Janssen's the one currently scoring the most, ironically. Scored 21 last season and currently has 15 this season, albeit in the Belgian top flight.
There's this expression "punching above their weight" which is not really defined and applied subjectively, often to a smaller team that is higher in the league than you would expect. But I think this might well be applied to ManU this season. They seem to have got away with an awful lot, some dodgy decisions, some last gasp winners, some undeserved victories. Many say that when this happens a lot there must be some mystical skill behind it. I think it's just lucky. So my nomination for "punching above their weight" is Manchester United.
Amrabat has to be one of the worst signings of the season. Do Utd have an obligation or option to sign him this summer? Brilliant if the former.
City fans singing, "You're ****ing ****". Probably not going to get many arguments from the away fans. Man Utd's last shot was in the 23rd minute.
Utd have been totally outclassed here. I had 3-1 in the prediction league so hoping it stays that way but another couple would be amusing....
I love a good chuckle when Antony comes on and the little graphic flashes up with 0 goals 0 assists In 20 PL games
He has less Premier League goals this season than Ben Davies or Emerson Royal. Ben Brereton Diaz has scored more than him, despite playing 3 times for Sheffield United.
