Another good appointment. I feel our chances of survival are going up. The players are still poor, but with just a bit more tactical know how, plus a couple returning from injury it might give us those few extra points we’ll need.
Two Ex-Charlton who know each other. Another good injection signing to try and get us out of relegation. Should we stay up hopefully his contacts and knowledge will be VERY useful.
I'm afraid I remain firmly in the grip of Outcome bias. When the ref blows his whistle today Reading's players are not going to be feeling the love. They want our place in the league table. What do our players want?
If Jones can improve the way our very poor players play football, then we have a chance of staying up. If he can’t, then we will undoubtedly go down.
Garner, Jacko, Holden, Apples have all made good starts which fizzled out and ended in the sack when they lost a few games. Time to end the sequence in a positive way.
ANOTHER game without a win for Jones. I'll allow that we're seriously in the brown stuff but how many more games do we allow him without a victory?!
Are you seriously starting to want another change of manager? How much instability does the club need?
I have said on numerous occasions that Jones will not be to blame should we go down. It would be nice to win a game under him though
Poor old Jonesy. He will have known the situation when he signed up though. We never got a bounce under Parky when he first got the job either, and down we went. But Parky is in my view one of only three decent managers we've had since 2007 - SCP and Bowyer being the other two of course. Having said that, dropping down to L2 now will be a much more grave matter than dropping into L1 under Parky. I really believe our days at the Valley are numbered if we go down this season.
Once we look for a new manager next season after Jones has had a ding dong with our clowns, I reckon we'll go back to another non entity. Somebody without notable success.
