I've been sceptical of the 'apparent' moon landing of Neil Armstrong and company, and have doubts whether it actually happened after reading lots of conspiracy theories. I wanted to believe it, but I'm now starting to doubt, and believe the conspiracy theories. My main thoughts about this revolve round why is there all this news hype about landing an unmanned spacecraft on the moon surface after over 50yrs. In that time technology has improved beyond belief, and computers are now hand held and not the size of a spacecraft. Surely this event should be non news worthy, unless of course they want to admit that they didn't achieve what they claimed. My opinion only before abuse starts, but just gives you something to think about.
Apparently this is much more important as they think they might find water. So then there will be somewhere else to dump our sewage.
The bit I dont understand is it is filmed from the outside in. So, the cameraman mustve been the first one on the moon! (Sure that has been debunked, but not that arsed to look)
Can't see why anyone would want to give you abuse mate, it's your opinion. For every argument put forward that they did land on the moon, there's a counter argument that they didn't. Me personally, I believe they did, or maybe I just want to believe they did. I really hope they did though, I've got a bloody big Saturn V rocket here which took me a month to build.
There was a camera mounted to one of the landers legs. It's the comms I'm not convinced about. 240,000 miles away and it's crystal clear. My wi-fi drops off when I go in the bloody kitchen.
Fair enough. Everyone is allowed their own opinion. Is it 10 people that have walked on the moon up to now? That’s a lot of people they’ve trusted with a huge cover-up. Surely one of them would have opened up by now.
Of course the moon landings happened as I sat up all night watching it, then went to work for my 6 til 2 shift with nil sleep. The Yanks wouldn't tell lies...would they.?
It's a pretty interesting conspiracy theory. I saw a documentary a couple of years ago debunking most of the major arguments that suggest it was faked. That was really interesting. Most of them are detailed here- https://www.history.com/news/moon-landing-fake-conspiracy-theories
I’m not terribly bothered either way, but the flag flowing in the wind despite no atmosphere part always was a bit weird.
At it's peak the Apollo project employed 400,000 people from 20,000 companies and Universities. If it was a con, do people not think at least 1 of those people would have sold that potential gold dust information to the Russians who would pay a vast amount to prove the Yanks hadn't beaten them to it
Of course we landed on the moon, anyone who thinks otherwise is a gullible idiot Actually, I dont even know why I am bothering to post on such a stupid thread, I really do need to give my head a shake
I've literally held samples from the moon in my hand FFS . The 'it makes you think' crowd make me laugh, because they seem incapable of critical thought
My argument would be - who gives a **** of people landed on the moon or not. It's not like it's actually benefitting mankind in any way. It's just a moon (satellite) that orbits the earth. Big deal
I think the main reason we didn't go back, despite the improved tech, is cost. Its only now becoming commercially viable. Less to get there and big money involved in the mining
