Roy Hodgson has stepped down as Palace manager, surprising absolutely nobody.
Hopefully his health scare is nothing serious and he can enjoy his retirement now.

His replacement is Oliver Glasner, also surprising absolutely nobody.
Should get a nice new manager bounce from it. Glad we're not playing them soon...

Mason Holgate joined Southampton on loan at the start of the season.
They lost 5-0 on his debut and he barely played again before being recalled.
He was loaned out to Sheffield United and they lost 5-0 on his debut.
He was then sent off in his 2nd game and they lost 5-0! <laugh>

I think all seven of them have been absolutely ****e too haven't they? I mean I don't watch much of United as they're so boring, but I'm pretty sure I've seen his goals and they've all been gash. He's a sort of **** Hernandez

His goal against us was well taken. Nothing spectacular but the sort of chance you see plenty of players (especially inexperienced ones) get wrong.

Football's worst kept secret confirmed: Mbappe will move to Madrid next season.

That sound you just heard was Joan Laporta running to the loo.

In other news from the continent, Marseille have parted company with softly spoken all-round nice guy Gennaro Gattuso after a run of just 9 wins in 24 games. He was only appointed in September.

Massive bullet dodged and rare proof that social media can sometimes be a tool for the good.

We knocked Marseille out of Europe with a last minute Hojbjerg goal in November 2022.
They were managed by Igor Tudor at the time.
He was replaced by Marcelino who was replaced by Jacques Abardonado.
He was replaced by Gennaro Gattuso, who has been replaced by Jean-Louis Gasset.

Gasset was sacked by Ivory Coast after a disastrous group stage of the AFCON.
They went on to win it afterwards.

Considering the **** Marseille pulled in the Batshuayi/Nkoudou summer, for some reason I am not remotely sympathetic to their plight...

Man Utd's new part-owner is begging for a taxpayer handout for Old Trafford. :emoticon-0173-middl
You can share with City or West Ham, if you like. Cheap ****s.

He says he wants "a national stadium for the north of the country".

Perhaps my memory plays tricks on me, but wasn't that the exact line the government wheeled out to convince the taxpayer to stump up for what became the Etihad ahead of the Commonwealth Games?

Man Utd to play at Hampden? Not sure it's north enough, to be honest.
Groundshare with Elgin?

I'm sure that The FA are going to love that Ratfink is talking about a new national stadium without consulting with them first

Don’t worry. The Tories will give the North nowt.
HS2 should tell you that Birmingham is about as far north as they will go.
You can sleep easy in the privileged South - whatever public money is going, you’re getting it.
